The hub spot for all independently-made games.

Sony is launching a new category today for independently-developed games on its North American and European PlayStation Stores.

The “Indie Games” category will house the latest PlayStation indie games in one convenient place, including titles like Journey, The Unfinished Swan, Thomas Was Alone, and Guacamelee!.

In celebration of the launch, the U.S. store is offering to all a 50 percent discount on Retro City Rampage and 40 percent discount on the Papo & Yo soundtrack bundle until May 21. The European store will also offer the Retro City Rampage discount. Additionally, Zombie Tycoon II is free to PlayStation Plus subscribers for a limited time.

Thanks, PlayStation Blog US, EU.

I hope that they retain the current high visibility and that all the games aren’t just stashed there in the future like a store on a competitor’s system. ..

    Only on US and Europe?
What about the other side of the world? Even on HK PSN, PSM still isn’t available

To be honest, I don’t think PSM is going to be much of a success in the South East Asia countries…

This indie section will come to HK PSN… It’s just a matter of when SCEA will stop being slow with the updates…

It doesn’t seem the same when it seems like indie developers that have a lot of talent and not just thrown together cheap games. There indie seems to concentrate on quality indie titles.
