Zombie FPS set for next and current gen.

Techland, the studio behind Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, has announced a third zombie game, Dying Light, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2014.

To be published by Warner Bros., the game is a first-person, action survival horror game with a “vast” and “dynamic” open world, day-night cycle, free running mechanics, and weapon-crafting.

During the day, players will scavenge an “expansive” urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak for supplies to survive and craft weapons. At night, the infected become more aggressive and dangerous, with the most frightening predators appearing just after sundown.

Even with the little details, i’m still really excited. I love Dead Island even with all its flaws, so if this is any sort of improvement, I am definitely down.

      >In 2003: “Wow a zombie game!”
      >In 2013: “Oh, a zombie game..”

The thing is times have change, they already made 2 zombie games so what is the point of making a 3rd game which is a new ip another Zombie game.

Dead Island has a reputation of being a mediocre and disappointing title.
Maybe they thought that by creating a new IP they could start anew.

I’m looking forward to that medieval zombie game. It’s like dead island but in the past making it cooler and more dark souly. I love dark souls.

  • Peacenutman

Why don’t they just call it Dead Island 3?

Fuck Zombies, bring back Vamps and werewolves.
Gamers are long overdue for a new Legacy of Kain or Vampire the Masquerade.
