The latest in Gust’s series of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemist of Dusk Sky gameplay videos is focused not on battle, but on field exploration.

You’ll see protagonists Escha and Logy run around areas ranging from volcanoes to ruins collecting Shibunoki Seeds and Gold Meats.

    I do like how the monsters on the map run slow making it optional battles. Sometimes the speed of the monsters in the tales series makes my gf really angry.

    Nice, the whole exploration & gathering aspect of this series is something that I’ve always really enjoyed.

    Exploration seems improved over Ayesha, in that it shows the specific item harvested now rather than listing them off in word format i.e ingredient, ingredient, gold item, etc etc. Encounters with enemies on the map seems the same for the most part, which is good; no need to change that. Environment details seem improved though which is a plus. I also just prefer the feel of the GUI for stuff, though I wish it could be toggled.

    Random note: Escha’s walk/run animation seems a bit off. Perhaps because of the exaggerated motion but it seems to try too hard to be cute, versus natural.
