    Looks awesome. Not helping my wait for 2014 ;_;

  • DarthBrian

    different voice for Garrett. :(

    Could be good, but probably won’t be as good as Thief 1, 2 or 3.

    It looks good. Not familiar with the series, so I don’t know how much sympathy we’re to have for a thief, but I’d imagine it can be fun to play.

    this looks pre-rendered.Real time screens didn’t look like that.Good nonetheless.

    Well, it’s prerendered alright, but that’s not the problem. I’ve loved the first two games, and I can’t see Garrett run into a guard, avoid his sword with a Wachowski style flip jump and crushing out of a window. There’s something wrong going on here.

    I really liked the trailer.

    I also found that Game Informer has posted several videos with the Thief development team. (I missed these, for those who also did, I figured I’d share them below. =)

        No problem. =)

    would prefer Deadly Shadows just because of 3rd person view :

    Excellent trailer, I love the atmosphere and the setting for this. I look forward to this honestly. My only question…why is Eidos Montreal still Eidos? They should have changed their name to Square Enix Montreal by now.

    • http://twitter.com/GematsuZero Zero

      Perhaps Square-Enix gave them a choice? They might have allowed them to keep the studio name. I know that sometimes, when a purchase occurs, that choice isn’t always given.

      • Kurisu Makise

        Perhaps so. I know personally, if you’re planning to make a studio apart of your key business; it only makes sense to brand them after yourself. Isn’t Relic, Sega Relic now with their name spelt in the Sega font no less?

    • Bloodios

      Why should they? There’s already a Square Enix Montréal (link) opened last year, and they’re supposedly in the process of developing a Hitman title for next-gen consoles, while Eidos Montréal expands and works on their own projects (namely Thief reboot.)

      Square supposedly realized that a single Hitman title simply took too long to create, so they now have two studios working on the series to lessen the gap between each installment (similar to EA’s Need For Speed and Activision’s Call of Duty series.)

      • Kurisu Makise

        Then what was stopping them from being Square Enix Montreal Team 1 and Team 2? Eidos was bought out, they don’t exist in the capacity they used to. No point in keeping that name around admittedly, but I expanded on that in my reply to Zero already.

          Because Team 1 or 2 sounds awfully unappealing? Bah, who knows, really. The point is, they probably just don’t care. It’s not like having the name Eidos hanging around would really matter that much. Since they already have a studio under the Square Enix Montréal, so unless the name Eidos Montréal is going to bring harm to the company, Square couldn’t possibly be bothered wasting time changing it to something else. Beside, it’s more likely for old fans to recognize the name Eidos rather than some random and generic or new and unheard of name.

          • Kurisu Makise

            I could see with them simply not caring admittedly. Let’s see what the new CEO has to say about everything. I will say though that Eidos side has probably been the best thing about Square Enix all gen >>;

    Oh, god, why? “Leave no trace”, hm? Garret then proceeded to jump through the window and drop a bomb on the ground.

    I hope this won’t be just another “modern day achhhuun adventure game” for kiddays.

    Oh, wait, it will be. http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/03/14/thiefs-redesigned-garrett-created-to-appeal-to-modern-audience-of-todays-console-market/

    Why can’t we have nice things?
