Enhanced version includes new episode, DLC quests, more.

GungHo Online Entertainment is readying Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, a complete reworking of last year’s Ragnarok Odyssey on PS Vita, for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

The game will include a new episode set after the ending of the original game, and all of the downloadable quests from the original will be included, according to Famitsu.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is due out on July 11 for 4,935 yen in Japan.

Thanks, Tale Tale Source.

I still need to pick up the original, I think I might just do that this week. Ace better have cross-play.

  • ragnathebloodedge

    count me in.

  • new_tradition

I was thinking about getting this game when I get a Vita, especially since there’s a nice CE for it, but maybe it might be better to wait for this one?

  • ragnathebloodedge

I’ll buy the Original then this.

  • Bryce Blalex Douglas

Have the original and will so get this on PS3 when/if it comes to NA

  • peterpansyndrome94

    Oh My Goooooodness!!!!!!!!!!!
    Yeahs!

If Sony make all developers do this PS3-PSP-PSVita multi-platform games… the better!

Capcom where is Mon Hun Portable 3rd PS3 and PS Vita Version for the west?

    • LordKaiser

I agree as people with different taste on how to play are satisfied. Both those who play on the go and those who want to play oh their HD TV.

    • Kurisu Makise

Normally I’d be right behind you on this but…there is something to be said about some platform exclusives. However this is definitely better than missing the boat, so let’s hope Sony does go ahead with this strategy.

    • An Tran

Apparently the blame can be set on Sony for the lack of MHP3rd in the west. Something about not wanting to support the specific kind of ad-hoc system Capcom was using. Not entirely sure what it was exactly, but I remember reading that it was something like that.

  • $29082171

Phew, now I don’t have to get a Vita to play this.

Now if only they can make an enhanced version of Soul Sacrifice for PS3.

    • jujubee88

Why not buy a VITA anyways?

      Support the cause, brother!

WTF? Why the down vote? :x

      • Bloodios

I barely have enough to keep myself alive without resorting to selling all my games and consoles, brother. The economy hasn’t been very kind lately…

Edit: Just to be clear, I didn’t down-vote you.

        • Elvick

Oh please. If that’s true, you probably shouldn’t be concerned with gaming at all until you get away from “barely” having enough to stay alive.

          • Bloodios

You’re right. Taking out the gaming part would definitely benefit me a whole lot. I’ll get more sleep and studying done, my time won’t feel as crammed, and my budget won’t be as tight as it is right now either. But I can’t do that. I would go into withdrawal if gaming isn’t a part of my everyday routine. It’s the very reason my grandparents booted me out of their house in the first place. I rather be barely alive but feel alive none the less, rather than living healthy but not feeling alive at all. It’s not like I’m harming anyone.

In any case, a Vita would put my budget way deep into the red and throw whole lot of other things out of whack, too. I can’t afford one right now, and I’m not particular dying to have one.

            • HeatPhoenix

If you’re not kidding when you say:

“But I can’t do that. I would go into withdrawal if gaming isn’t a part of my everyday routine.”

Then you need some help, my friend.

              • Bloodios

You aren’t the first one to assume I didn’t know that already. And this isn’t first time I say: “Thank you, but it really isn’t your business to tell what I should do.”

                • HeatPhoenix

It sure isn’t, but I just did. And judging by your rather defensive response, I believe we both know that what you are doing is not healthy for you. But hey, it’s your life.

            • http://twitter.com/GematsuZero Zero

“I’d rather be barely alive but feel alive none the less, rather than living healthy but not feeling alive at all. It’s not like I’m harming anyone.”

I feel you on that. I just wanted to make a comment here, because I understand you quite well.

I don’t think its as unhealthy as it seems. I think you have to find something in life to enjoy, something to look forward to, and something that helps you relax.

When you consider that, having video games fill all of those needs, it isn’t that bad at all. Lots of people turn to drugs, alcohol, etc. Everyone in this world has to find a ” release” of sorts, if they say they don’t, well, that’s some bull.

That isn’t exactly how I think we are similar though. I’m going to type up a bit about my life, it might not relate to you at all… but I’m going to type up a bit anyways.

I always say this to people – If I can’t live life and enjoy it, then I’m simply existing … That isn’t what I want to do, I don’t want to simply exist. That’s like living in a shell of myself, which sucks.

It’s like when people have to work a job they hate, to go about life in a situation that is void of enjoyment. I was in that situation before, I basically snapped at one point and went off the deep end. Somehow, I managed to find myself again, and I think video games played a big part in that…

I got myself back together, and decided I was going to no longer just exist .. I was going to live my life, doing things I enjoy. I didn’t care about the money, if my house was going to be super nice, eating expensive meals, etc. I didn’t care if everyone else said I was foolish for it.

That’s something I learned as well. If you simply listen and do what everyone else says, what does that make you? I still can’t exactly answer that, but I know a life where you really don’t make any decisions… that isn’t for me. I’m not saying ignore advice, but you have to mold that advice to fit you, your life, your situation.

So, when you typed up the bit above – About feeling alive, about needing video games. I understand. It might not be exactly the same, we might not be on the same level of sorts, but I understand it. =)

I’m sure things will get better money wise, I know they will. I managed to buy a Vita last month, but I’m still having to eat ramen, or frozen stuff in the fridge for dinner. I’m making it work until I get my next bit of cash. I spend most of my spare money on my main hobby, which is video games. I enjoy it, and I don’t really care if others think I’m foolish for it. I even managed to get my parents to understand it, and my friends are very much like me. Sure, some don’t get it, that’s fine, they don’t have to understand it. If they can’t figure it out, that;s on them, if they don’t want to be my friend because of it, that’s also on them.

Well, sorry I typed up so much here. I hope if you managed to read this far, I hope it helps some.

        • jujubee88

It’s fine. I understand where you’re coming from.

I would just say save up and buy when the timing is better.:)

          • Bloodios

Probably won’t be before I’m getting a PS4, but the Vita will be around for quite sometimes yet, so I’ll get to it eventually ;)

      • LordKaiser

He didn’t down vote you. The Vita is ok but not everyone have the $ or feel the need to buy one.

        • jujubee88

VITA is more than okay, it is awesome! (IMO)

And, yes, I know not everyone has funding. I’m human and I’m not rich either. And you’re not the only one to bring up the same point as a response.

          • LordKaiser

Not just that but many people don’t play on the go but on HD Tv. Different states and all.

            • jujubee88

People like playing on HDTV, but they also play on phones. Hence, the presence of playing on the go. And the VITA is much better than a phone (again, IMO) when wanting something on the go.

I guess my argument to your response is that gaming on VITA is at least worth looking into.

              • LordKaiser

If I where to play on the go but I don’t. Maybe is a Vita get redesigned with a HDMI output like the Dev versions i will.

      • $29082171

Cause I don’t have infinite money, nor do I see much reason of owning one when this was one of the 3 exclusives that interested me on the system.

I already have a system that can play this, no need to waste any more money.

        • jujubee88

Just saying. VITA could really use a bigger install base.

If you have the money (which I can understand if don’t right now) than just having the system and getting the other exclusives now – instead of waiting for their price to drop to the point the devs get no motivation to make another VITA game – like, surely you can see it’s like a lose lose situation.

But, I’m not going to twist your arm. Just need to throw this info out there.^^

      • MosquitoLemon

What cause is that? I’d rather support developers for finally bringing interesting games to the PS3.

        • jujubee88

VITA! It needs a bigger install base. This thing wouldn’t be on PS3 where it not for the demand of monhun type games on VITA anyways.

      • HeatPhoenix

        w-what cause?

  • Fango

    they just pulled a capcom…

    • https://www.facebook.com/miyabigaming 新阿修羅(ShinAsura)

Well Sony doesn’t have MH anymore, this game is super fun and really great online.

    • Ritsujun

      Capcom pushed ‘em.

  • http://twitter.com/RaiuLyn Raiu

So it’s just version 2.0 of the game? Or am I missing something?

  • OverlordZettaMK2

Glad I didn’t get the game – I was literally just about to, too.

  • PrinceHeir

    ace :D

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

This game will be friggin gorgeous on the big screen.

    • jujubee88

Do you have it on VITA?

      It dazzles on the OLED!

      • FitzpatrickPhillips

        Yeah I do. Its beautiful

  • Elvick

A complete rework… wonder if that’s true and to what extent.

  • Learii

i always want the game on ps3 until now is on ps3 yay come on XSEED loczated this one too

  • tubers

Some game mechanics additions and balances eh? Guess might happen with Soul Sacrifice too with the over powered Golems and Projectiles.

I’ll play the waiting game.. w/c the VITA has taught me well.

  • HeatPhoenix

    But will it have crossplay?
