Games like these usually have animated openings. I guess ZeroDiv and Acquire can’t afford that …

Well, while it’s certainly cost effective, sequences like this one can also be quite stylish and elegant when done well, like in this case. It can also be an effective way to set an atmosphere. And besides, several major anime series and films have used them across the years.

^Very true. I’m not a fan of that style, however.

This may have only been the “short version,” but I really liked that.

It kind of reminded me of SHAFT’s work.

You’re absolutely right about the SHAFT influence, there was another animation team which did something like this um…Gainax, yeah.

      • Eclipse

Yeah, Gainax is definitely another good example of this style. I’m not the biggest fan of them, but they really do some creative stuff from time to time.

Agreed! I wonder what localization magic ball I need to rub to see this become reality. It’s really hitting all the right notes for me. However I’m surprised Atlus is letting someone else move in on them like this, especially with no word of any future Persona for the platform.

Don’t forget the OP of S;G:LBP and C;H Noah PS3 too.

You sir, earned a cookie(upvote) from me. I’d like Vita to continue getting games like this and further differentiate itself from 3DS (and to a smaller extent, PSP).
