    Money, I choose you!

  • Prodigy-X

This is great news for PS3 owners.

  • Zackasaur

    This will be mine.

    another collection? changed my life

  • Nate

Not really that impressive. The already hd collection contains all of those except Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4. (no one cares about vr missions) and if someone wants to play the original metal gear solid not on a handheld then the best way to go is the gamecube remake twin snakes. So you could buy the hd collection, get the better mgs gamecube version, and get mgs 4 used for probably less than this if it’s going to be if its 60 dollars.

But where is the fun in that :P

“no one cares about vr missions”

What about the first two Metar Gears? They’re very important storyline-wise. Twin Snakes is simply a (mildly disappointing) remake – the PSX looks dated but it’s argably the superior game. Having all those games on a single console – potentially on a single DISC – is a huge bonus and well worth the price of 60 bucks IMO.

      • Nate

Two answer your question: the first two metal gears are in the hd collection in the metal gear solid 3 disc. Just like they came with the bonus metal gear solid 3 back on the ps2.

  • Keegs79

Geez. It makes it a slap in the face for those of us who got the HD version, especially the collector’s edition. It is really annoying how this keeps happening. I was fed up with it with Capcom and now even Konami wants to partake in this crap.

So don’t get it. What’s the problem?
Personally, I’ll pass on this one. I have everything, except for VR Missions. If I want a fix, I’ll play MGS2’s, which are just as fun and infuriating.

  • PrinceHeir

wait the VR missions is the Integral(Japanese) one right?

with Gray Fox missions and all??

btw any word on the japanese version?

already have the Limited Edition US one, will probably get the JPN just to have a new version alongside.

also if your including both Ashley Wood Metal Gear books(assuming the Comic and Artbook)

why no Portable Ops and Portable Ops+??

also they STILL haven’t put back the cut content from substance and subsistence

Secret Theater is included(collection of parodies; ex The Boss vs Naked Snake Rock Paper Scissors, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eraser) which is in Disc 2 of Subsistence. Disc 3 of subsistence: Existence being able to watch MGS3 cutscenes non-stop

Ape vs Snake MGS3(should have kept it on the PS3 version instead) i was also hoping for Dual Audio since this will make this collection a must have for those who want to hear voices in either english and japanese.

Documentary of MGS2 and the third disc of Subsistence(you can watch all of the cut scenes in one go)

Nightmare cutscene from MGS3 and code conversations with the group.

SERIOUSLY what a missed opportunity AGAIN.

it seems Konami nowadays only cares about MGS and Castlevania(which pretty much dead now)

i’ll probably buy this, but come on Konami.

as much as i love the series to death, konami better man up and start producing some of their IP’s

still pissed Bloody Roar 5 died when they destroyed Hudson Soft.

  • Fuepepe

Give me Ghost Babel, Twin Snakes, Portable Ops, The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 and the two Metal Gear Acid! games and I’ll totally pick this up. Already have what’s being given though.

    • PrinceHeir

      YES TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

    • BlacksitePSU

Yep. If it’s not the complete Metal Gear Solid package, it’s not worth calling it The Legacy collection.

    • Karl Josef

yes should remove metal gear and metal 2 and replace with others

  • Aldridge517

    Looks expensive.

  • Raiu

Well… I only got MGS4(Launch version) for my PS3 so I might as well get this….

    • Aldridge517

Same, and I’ve always wanted to own MGS1.

  • Serovath

    all depends on the price…
