good to see fate extra ccc doing pretty well

  • almostautumn

I’d hoped Holy Sorcery Story would fair better than that; game looks amazing. Still, nice to see Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Muramasa seeing the successful numbers they deserve.

Muramasa didn’t do as well as I hoped, guess everyone has it on the Wii

as far as i remember muramasa for wii sells less than this in its first week around 25k

Exactly. And if we count digital sales on the Vita, it might soon exceed lifetime sales on the Wii, which don’t exceed 75K.

These might not be huge numbers, but they are definitely great for a title as niche as this one. Even more considering it is a port. Dragon Crown will sell a lot better though.

And OP2 Vita selling a third of the PS3 version this week. Really impressive.

I have it on the Wii. Honestly I didn’t even know it had new content till I read it on a comment on this article….

looks like there is a stock problem based in this source http://blog.esuteru.com/archives/7018802.html

        Oh jeez, that can’t happen

  • XypherCode

They should’ve at least tried to market the new content for Muramasa.

i wonder where stealth is, who always predict that the vita sales will plummet to 10-15k after a week or two after that price drop,
but look now its over one month! ^_^

I’m just happy Vita held over 30k. I’m also happy that Soul Sacrifice is still selling. Hopefully the word of mouth just continues, though I’m curious if online sales are also contributing to that, same for One Piece’s sales. Also hey look, WiiU rise, not bad.

The 3DS is too amazing.. it’s just printing money!

Fate/Extra CCC doing surprisingly well after all the delays. I hope it makes it overseas even if the PSP is dead as a door nail over here.

As long as we’ve got PSN, there’s still reason for a digital release =]

  • z_merquise

I think 45k in week 1 for Muramasa is good. But just wish the game to sell more in the coming weeks.

    • PrinceHeir

      are you buying it?

cause im sure as hell will!!!

      • z_merquise

Of course! Vanillaware goodness on-the-go! I’m also looking forward to play the DLCs so I hope it’s worth the price.

Animal Crossing is the winner this year. How many straight weeks has it been in the top 5? That game is unstoppable!

It would be interesting to see how Fate/Extra CCC’s PSN sales (for PSP and Vita) compare to the amount of physical copies sold. There was that announcement about how well Shinovi Versus did digitally, but I don’t know if anyone at MAQL would bother to release similar sales data for this game.

Speking of CCC, Type-Moon have a site up for the game’s OST release. It has been noted that some of the track titles might be a little spoiler-ey, so proceed at your own risk:

Heh, Fate/Extra CCC sold pretty much exactly what the original did. Interesting to see that PSP sales didn’t really go up at all, I guess maybe people are just buying digitally for the Vita at this point.

  • HeatPhoenix

Soul Sacrifice did pretty well, heh.

What does the LL in 3DS mean? XL means Extra Large, what of LL? always wanted to know–unless LL Cool J is getting heaps of royalties due to his crazy fanbase installed in Japan!

  • GetOffMy_Lawn

Glad to see both the 3DS and the Vita thriving in sales! The PSP and the DS both had some of the best games in the past few years, and I’d love to see these handhelds continue this tradition.
Vita doesn’t have to trample the 3DS or vice versa — they can both be killer consoles in their own right, just like their predecessors. Yay Vita+3DS!!!

Damn! Dragon Quest X sold poorly and didn’t boost sales all that much. If Dragon Quest can’t do it than I can’t imagine anything that can. Guess will have to wait and see what Pokemon does.
