Malicious Rebrth, Alvion’s enhanced PS Vita port of the 2010 PlayStation 3 game, will come to North America and Europe, the developer has confirmed on Twitter.

“The other day we trusted an English localization to a English publisher,” added Alvion,” so it [the release date] depends on them. We will rush them again.”

Malicious Rebirth launched in Japan last November.

As one who beat the queen which was tough but never beat the last boss the game was very enjoyable and challenging. I’ll be supporting Alvion

Need more games like this localized to help the Vita in the West, hopefully Demonblade does well

LOL I remember the first time I played it, I never knew what the hell is goin on until I found out from the help menu that I could use other weapons.

What a game. We need more of these kind of games.

Same here. Couldn’t beat the last boss for the life of me, but I loved the game to death. Guaranteed buy.

    Awwwwwwwwwwwww yeah!

I’ve been waiting for this. I’ve long refused to play the PS3 version, knowing this was out there.

finally! another must have game for vita

    • jujubee88

Hope it’s good! Never played the console version.

I bought the game when it was released in US PSN. It’s really good. And really hard as well.

Basically, it’s like an arcade game. It’s a straight-forward action game where each stage is instantly a boss battle with an endless number of enemy grunts. It’s very chaotic (in a good way) and very fun to play as well.
The Vita is the enhanced version so get this one if you’re interested.

I know there is a ps3 version that isn’t an enhanced version like the vita. I hope they’ll bundle both games for a fair price.

    • Solomon_Kano

The PS3 version is cheap enough that they’re unlikely to bundle it. There also wouldn’t be any cross-play benefit or anything to take advantage of there, so that’s unlikely to happen.

      • Gigus

I wasn’t looking for cross-play benefit support. The reason why I brought up the idea is because it would be a good way for the publisher to promote the game and push sales.

        • Solomon_Kano

I’m not saying you were, I’m saying that’s usually a feature when a game’s Vita and PS3 version are bundled together. Sorry if it sounded that way.

I’m not really seeing how bundling the Vita version with the year old PS3 version that has less content would push sales. Another thing is, I don’t know that they’ll even be able to do that since the PS3 version will have a different publisher. SCEA published the PS3 version, so I don’t think the new publisher will be able to offer a bundle with another publisher’s game.

          • Gigus

Oh no worries, and I do see your point. There goes my hopes of having a two for one special XD

          • http://twitter.com/Elvick Elvick

Because bundling two things together for a cheaper price than both separately is a basic marketing tactic in getting people to spend more? And it always works?

You could have just mentioned the different publishers and moved on. Since that’s a valid reason. Since the other reason isn’t.

            • Solomon_Kano

I said I didn’t see how putting two versions of differing content together would convince people to pick up the newest version. That was me giving my opinion on how I thought that would work out. No need to be snarky about it if you disagree.

Your comment about moving on was unnecessary when we clearly finished what we were discussing.

              • Elvick

                Miss the point much.

Your original argument should have been about publisher differences. Not in your later response. Thus the point.

Put your valid step forward, and leave the gimped one at home.

                • Solomon_Kano

I shared my thoughts on whether I thought it would happen in my initial response. No more, no less. If you feel that my opinion didn’t make for a “valid” point, that’s fine I guess.

I’m not really getting why you feel the need to tell me what my comment “should” have been about. I gave my opinion, this isn’t some debate. Are you just looking for conflict?

  • Skerj

Well about damn time, I guess I can continue holding off on playing the PS3 version now.

  • Revorse

I felt like Malicous’s world could have been turned into a ‘full game’ as opposed to a giant boss rush. Still fun and amazing though.

  • Solomon_Kano

I loved this game, so I’m happy to hear we’ll be getting Rebirth. Maybe this time I’ll beat that damn final boss.

  • Kurisu Makise

Praise the Gods! Though why isn’t sony publishing this themselves, seems like XSEED or the usual suspects managed to get the game instead?

    • Solomon_Kano

I figure with the port having been out as long as it has without SCEA picking it up, they weren’t interested. Does make me wonder who is publishing it though. Xseed would make sense. I think they’ve probably published the most Vita games so far and this would fit well in their portfolio.

    Finally! Sweet!
