      • Revorse

Suck, don’t it? But since its Musou styled, I imagine it might not be that hard to deal with

        • Raiyu

Maybe, but I still wouldn’t count it honestly :/

  • Nitraion

Just waiting for an announcement of Jojo’s All Star Battle and this game for the west. A man can dream, right?

    • Kurisu Makise

Dreaaaaming~! Though I’d like to dream that same dream with you. Oh well, I don’t think the text/game play would be too difficult to pick up on, plus it’s voice acted, so going for an import is fine =]

      • Raoni Marques

I’ve played my share of jap games before, and I also think that text/game would be no trouble. It’s just that for games like that, I would like to enjoy the experience as a whole.
In case “our” dream doesn’t happen, I guess import is the way to go =)

        • Kurisu Makise

I know what you mean, it’s the reason I always gravitate towards turning all my settings on into English. I want to essentially be immersed 100% the way a Japanese native would in my own language. Certain lines are cool and all in Japanese but the person who’s translating it is adapting the line so it’s never quite the original line and people tend to enjoy that. So, why not enjoy those lines with the music and everything spoken or so I rationalize it.

          • Raoni Marques

Yeah, specially on games that are story heavy (even though it’s probably not the case here). When I’m playing a game I really like, I want to be 100% immersed on it too, so I’ll never listen to music or do anything else while playing that game.

            • Kurisu Makise

I’m the same on that regard, I’ve been pretty immersed in Atelier Ayesha so far, goodness I don’t know how Japan enjoys hearing certain voice types so much, the cute overload is just ah— but that’s another topic. Kamen Rider voices are always awesome (and sexy) so I imagine they’d transfer over quite nicely.

              • Raoni Marques

I still need to finish Rorona, and then the other games in the series. Right now I gotta beat Graces F and Ni no Kuni first. Is Ayesha good?
Yup, some jap voice types can be pretty annoying at times, and I don’t really know much about Kamen Rider voices. Haven’t watched it in ages, but if you’re saying it’s good, I believe you =)

                • Kurisu Makise

Kamen Rider as best as I can describe it, is a series where, if you drop some of your adult pretenses, is quite enjoyable. It can be a bit more mature than the audience sometimes but for the most part, it’s a feel good experience with things you’d associate with your childhood. A lot of the actors chosen for Kamen Rider go on to teen/adult dramas so yeah, they’re pretty good.

Also, Ayesha is…well it’s my first Atelier but I’m pretty in love, can’t believe I missed out on all this. I’m quietly praying that Rorona gets a Vita port or a remake so I can have them on handheld. Actually, I think I’d double dip on Ayesha if it went to Vita too. It’s the kind of game where you can get lost in synthesizing for hours. But ah, go beat Graces F, that was the game which got me back on consoles, love it a lot.

                  • Raoni Marques

Good to know your opinion on that one. It actually made me want to watch the show again. I think I’ll try some Kamen Rider Wizard, since I really liked the costumes on this one.

I’ve picked Rorona first since people told me it’s pretty hard to play the game after you played the newer ones. As soon as I’m done with it, I’ll get Totori Plus for the Vita, and then the others.
Yup, I’m halfway done with it, and It’s a really great game! You gotta love the combat system!

                    • Kurisu Makise

Actually, since we’re on topic about Kamen Rider for a bit. I haven’t gotten to watch Wizard just yet but if you like mystery/detective drama, then I’d watch W first. Then move to OOO, then Fourze, then Wizard. But that’s assuming you haven’t seen those, if you have then most excellent (let me know how Wizard is).

                      As for Atelier Rorona, I kind of wish I played Rorona myself from what I’m hearing but I think I’d give Rorona a chance regardless because I find her design adorable. Ah now that you mentioned Totori Plus…I need to toss money onto my PSN account, must remember ><;

                    • Raoni Marques

Since you seem to know a lot about Kamen Rider, guess I’ll follow your advice! Btw, I watched the first episode of Wizard, and I kinda liked it. Think I’ll stop it though and start watching W.

Graphics wise, I think it’s really inferior to the other games, but it’s still not bad at all. It’s just that the character models are kinda SD (which isn’t a problem at all in my book). I’m still not far in the game because I have quite a backlog to deal with, but I’ll beat it as soon as I can. Yup, I gotta do the same!
