Battlefield 4 is coming to next-generation consoles, according to GameStop.

In an e-mail to customers about pre-order bonuses for Battlefield 4, the retailer claimed that the game would arrive on “next-generation” platforms in addition to the already-announced Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions—although there is no explicit mention of the PlayStation 4 or the next-generation Xbox.

The game was unveiled Wednesday for a fall 2013 release.

I would be more surprised if this wasn’t coming

Really though. I thought it was a given that it’d be making its way to the next gen machines from Sony/Microsoft.

Would of preferred to see multiplayer footage because that is what really matters in the end.

Hopefully the PS4 and whatever Xbox versions support the same player count as the PC version. 24 players is cool and all but for Battlefield? Not gonna cut it.

No Wii U version, totally expected. =D

Im tired of these games. Seems so stupid that the characters are talking to you and you’re not responding at all.

like you’re just a floating gun

That is something like 80% of games total.

As an excellent online experience is given for granted in this case, let’s hope they really step up the single player experience too. They don’t need to go the CoD way though, with worldwide conspiracies and enormous conflicts: something more self contained, well written and full of personality would make the cut perfectly, IMO.
