Pilotwings Resort developer bringing Wii game to 3DS.

Monster Games, known for its three Excite series Wii titles and the more recent Pilotwings Resort for 3DS, is developing the recently announced Donkey Kong Country Returns update for 3DS, an Australian classification has revealed.

Retro Studios, the original developer also known for its Metroid Prime titles and Mario Kart 7, is currently working on its debut Wii U project.

Thanks, NeoGAF.

    “Retro Studios, the original developer also known for its Metroid Prime titles and Mario Kart 7, is currently working on its debut Wii U project.” This sentence makes me very excited.

      I second that. Now please, Nintendo, let them spread their wings and develop a new, original IP. They’re the closest you’ve got to Rare nowadays and those guys invented original IP after original IP across 3 console generations.

        Retro did make 4 new IPs in the Gamecube era.

        They were all cancelled due to their low quality, one of them was even a football game and a car-shooting game. After that, layoffs were made and Metroid Prime was born.

    Metdroid! Please! xD

      As much as I love Retro’s Metroid games I want to see them develop an original IP. The same applies to Naughty Dog and PS4, I do not want to see Uncharted 4 being ND’s debut PS4 title.

        Same and I think they will. Drake and his adventures are cool and all but I’d rather the series end with the PS3 on a good note rather than extend the hell out of it and tainting the series. A new series, something completely different, would be awesome.

          Nate and co. had a great run on PS3 and defined the console; Now it’s time for ND to deliver something new and original on PS4. As the U3 team had been silent so long I assume they are working on something to be shown at E3. The last of Us and ND’s new IP, exciting times.

            E3 is going to be great this year even if it does turn out to be another Uncharted game. Can’t wait!

            agree :D

            i’ll do miss Drake though ;
