Following yesterday’s leak, Square Enix has confirmed Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut for Wii U, the “definitive version” of Eidos Montreal’s 2011 action RPG.

Director’s Cut will add a “full slate” of GamePad features, including touch-screen hacking, interactive map editing, augmented snipping, grenade throwbacks, and other enhancements.

Miiverse integration will provide access to “developer commentaries and in-game guides.”

Both the ‘Tong’s Rescue Mission’ and ‘Missing Link’ add-ons will be “integrated seamlessly” into the game’s narrative.

Other enhancements include “overhauled” boss fights, refined game balance and combat, improved AI, and “striking visual improvements.”

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut will make its first public appearance at PAX East in Boston this weekend.

Reminds me, still need to pick this up on PS3.

How is this a Director’s Cut? The two add-ons have already been made into DLCs….

I was expecting something like deleted scenes, weapons, bosses, etc….

So they’ve ‘integrated’ Missing Link ‘seamlessly’ now, ie. it’s now part of the main narrative, which to me doesn’t sound good. The Missing Link worked so well as a standalone thing, as you’ve lost your augs, and all the characters featured in that segment only appear during that time. It just kinda… worked.

Really don’t look forward to it as a part of the mainline game though, in that fashion it’ll feel like a radical diversion, as if everything else is being put on ice while you handle some bizarre sidestory.

The Tong’s Rescue Mission is just a tiny little thing which already seamlessly integrated for those of us who had it, so I have no idea why they’re touting that as a selling point…

It’s just a simple port, Squarenix can kill that noise with acting like it’s not.The MIssing Link is exactly 5 hours like they said and Tong’s Mission was already seamlessly integrated.

They just trying to make money off Nintendo fans with the least amount of effort.

They are doing this so, by the time the sequel is revealed they can have a bigger “possible” userbase for the second game.

It actually talks about how much has been put into this port, from AI, to lighting, to new ways to fight the boss battles and new augs. Hope they include a new game plus this time.

new game plus mode, new ways to finish the bosses(i admit i hated the first one at first, but the other bosses were okay)

the 2nd boss was a pain in the ass though.

wish this will be patched on consoles!
