The Last of Us Development Series Episode 1: Hush
Naughty Dog talks about the creation of the game's main enemy.

Sony and Naughty Dog have released the first in a new series of videos that provide a look at the development process of The Last of Us.

The first episode, titled “Hush,” dives into the conception and creation of the game’s focal enemy, the infected. Watch it below.

The Last of Us is due out for PlayStation 3 on June 14.

          Let’s not forget the already-released Ni no Kuni and the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V!

          GOTY all depends on your personal tastes, really. (I actually haven’t played NnK yet [massive backlog], but I’ve heard it’s something of an amazement.)

            Ni No Kuni is a great game if you’re into JRPGs.
            Still prefer Dragon Quest 8 over it, though.

              From the games mentioned here, it seems GTAV will be the clear winner. For now my option would be Last of Us, Ni no kuni or Beyond

                I have never understood the draw of GTA games or pretty much any game R* has ever produced honestly.
                They’re like the tarintino of gaming and from me that is not a compliment.
                Overrated hacks of their industries.

      While I hate to count my chickens before they hatch, my hype for this game…it’s over 9000. I really love the game play elements and what it took for them to make it. I feel like this is an example of using modern techniques and such.

        No one is better at developing amazing gaming experiences than Naughty Dog.
        Cant wait to play this masterpiece.

          Agreed! I also like that Naughty Dog clearly got BETTER over time. I mean the Crash games were wonderful but I felt them getting better with each game and then CTR was just…beautiful, let me just throw it out there I liked it more than Mario Kart 64. Then along came Jak with even better narrative and Uncharted in this gen, I can’t praise Naughty Dog more.

            CTR is the best cart racer ever made. I felt that way before I even knew who ND was!

              So true. I loved the plaza element (where you could drive to the different races) competing for Platinums and stuff, good times. Oh and best of all, I liked that the heavy racers were actually useful. In Mario Kart it always feels detrimental to use the heavy racers, well except for Rosaline, she’s perfect ;D

                I’m pretty much sold on any game with “fun” boss fights and I have Mega Man 2 to thank for that.
                I will fall in love with any game that has great bosses.
                CTR was the first time a kart racer did bosses at least in my experience, and they were an absolute blast. All the secret hidden paths and trophys to collect fueled my addiction to that game and I have yet to play another kart racer that is on par.
                I think the two Sonic and Allstar Racing gamescome close to capturing some of that magic but theyll never be able to top CTR.
                Speaking of fun bosses….Castlevania Lords of Shadow is kickin my arse but I am really diggin it.
                The new GoW:A is gonna be unbelievable based on the two different single player demo’s I have.

                How did Sony Santa Monica top GoW3? No clue but they absolutely have outdone themselves.

                Anyhoo….I know Im all over the place on thiscomment as I am up way too late off a 4 hour binge of Lords of Shadow.
                Need sleep. Need zzzzzzzzzz

                  Totally wasting my + membership, haven’t even played the Single Player Betas @_@ I did play the Multiplayer Beta for Ascension. If they managed to surpass GoW3 then that’s pretty amazing. I also love a good boss fight and when the game is dedicated to them like Shadow of the Colossus, that just makes it even better.
