I don’t really recall the GoW news, so I can’t remember if there were spoilers in the heading, but there are no spoilers in this particular MGR news. It’s a character reveal, and she’s not even a new character to the franchise. From the article, we don’t know anything about her involvement in the plot of MGR other than her age and presence in the game.

If she died in MGS4, it would be a spoiler. If she was an adult in that game and is now a child, it would be a spoiler. If she was male in MGS4, it would be a spoiler. As it stands, I don’t see how this news article header spoils anything other than letting you know that she is a returning character.

Indeed. I chose to skip that video. Single-player media on GoWA was very drought before that, though. I guess Santa Monica thought by releasing that 30-min clip, it’d make up for it. But yeah, it’s optional to watch, I mean. And unlike the Sunny stuff, it’s not very “I’m going to show you what it is even if you don’t choose to watch it.”

IIRC, Santa Monica had this sort of philosophy with GoWIII where they barely released any media. Just a few bits every now and then leading up to launch. I liked that. More people should do that.

Putting the age conundrum aside for a moment, I’d say the characters models for Revengeance are wonderful. Maybe it was at KojiPro’s request, but I think Platinum Games put a fair amount of work into perfecting this specific aspect of its engine. Cutscenes are a big deal in any Metal Gear branded game, after all.
