    You mean Namco Bandai?

    • http://kougeru.tumblr.com/ Kou

I’m guessing he edited it already, since it all says NAmco Bandai for me but I wouldnt get nickpicky anyway because in Japan they’re called Bandai Namco

      • surakian

It had said Namco “Bandi” in the title and old tweet before xD

Doesn’t seem like anything interesting, except for Artorias of the Abyss DLC if you haven’t picked it up by now, and if you’re a DkS fan I’d imagine you would have gotten it when it was released.

Finally, Soul Calibur for cheap, gotta enjoy portable fighting games. I’m also wondering if that and Naruto work on PS Vita.

all psn PSP games work for the vita

      • KurisuMakise

Isn’t there still a few lingering exceptions to that (Portable Ops)? I also hear Peacewalker isn’t on the Vita storefront directly.

  • Anime10121

Might actually pickup/dld One Piece now. The show never really interested me (at least not enough to delve into a showi with aas many episodes as OP ) but i did wanna get the game to get the general gist of the story.

You can read the manga a lot quicker than watching the TV show. It’s really good, but I gave up around 8 years ago. (which just so happens to cover the content of this game AND most of the next one)

      • veruses

So I’m better off reading the manga than watching the show? Might as well do that then.

        • Pyrofrost

I agree with MosquitoLemon, I also recommend the Manga.

I jump to the manga for any long running series, I did the same for both Fairy Tail and Bleach (before Bleach became shit).

          • MosquitoLemon

Yep, I read about 8 volumes of Bleach. If you read Bakuman, you’ll find out why most shonen manga turn to garbage after a few years.

            • Pyrofrost

I was looking at Bakuman a few years ago and it really didn’t grab my interest. What I noticed when reading Bleach is Kubo just dragged the storyline with Aizen out far too long, and he seemed to run out of ideas. So after Aizen he just started coming up with stupid shit to try and keep it going. It was really sad to see something that started and was going so strong just fall off.

However, looking at running time, the fact that Oda is still able to keep everything interesting and fresh in One Piece, and still bring in good new ideas…that says a lot about him.

“What I noticed when reading Bleach is Kubo just dragged the storyline with Aizen out far too long, and he seemed to run out of ideas. So after Aizen he just started coming up with stupid shit to try and keep it going.”

That pretty much applies to all serialised fiction that does not have a definite end in sight. The creators try to milk the popularity of the franchise by dragging the plot and story on for as long as they can, and by the end, the poor storytelling, plot inconsistencies, and ridiculous plotholes have all but drowned the strong beginnings. The same, sad thing happens in video games as well. This is why I prefer to look at newer IPs rather than yet another God of War or yet another Halo.

Different franchises have different mileages depending on the quality of their writers, and certain genres by design are more able to survive repeated rehashing (eg. fighting games), but I find the ‘falling off’ you mention happens to most story-driven franchises sooner or later. The developers need to know when to call it quits, but I suppose money talks louder than artistic integrity in the end.

    What about europe?

  • Zancrow

    Only in America?

    • Pyrofrost

I got this question as well when I linked this article on my Japanese Gaming Community page on Facebook. Could you please let us know Sal?

      • http://gematsu.com/ Sal Romano

Just US, as far as it’s been announced.

        • Pyrofrost

Thanks for letting me know man! ^_^

          • http://gematsu.com/ Sal Romano

np, sorry it took so long.

For future reference, just cross check PS Blog EU for these things. If it’s not there, it’s not announced for Europe. =P

            • Pyrofrost

Oh, I see. I never thought of that xD

  • Cry_Zero

I hope europe gets discounts too

  • MosquitoLemon

:O Time to make a decision on if I want Pirate Warriors now or wait for the second one…

    • KIngpigeon96

Yeah I’m also wondering if I should get this.

    • Pyrofrost

At this price, I would say go ahead and snag it.
It will be something to wet your appetite nicely for the second one.

  • ShinAsura

Don’t need anything but may get RR

  • DrForbidden

Uhhh, are the prices in the list pre- or post-discount, Sal?

Was Namdai really selling Broken Destiny at $40 before this? No wonder they desperately need to make sales by dropping the price…

  • Kobracon

Oh sweet! Good time to get the One Piece DLC!

  • Prodigy-X

    Sweet

  • Solomon_Kano

Those PSP prices need to be permanent. No damn reason why Namdai should still be selling PSP games for $40 when they even sell Vita games cheaper. I would’ve bought Broken Destiny ages ago if it were cheaper.

  • Elvick

Those PSP prices are ridiculous. Hopefully this “sale” shows them that.

Anyone that was on the fence for Touch My Katamari though, totally worth that price if you don’t mind going digital. It’s not a bad game, just lacking in content. Still super fun, and makes me hope they do another full fledged Katamari and take better advantage of the stretching stuff they introduced.

  • PrinceHeir

    awesome :D
