Nintendo has announced Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, the fourth entry in the Mario & Luigi RPG series, for a summer 2013 release on 3DS.

The game is set inside the mind of a sleeping Luigi, who is a powerful and brave hero in his dreams. The top screen shows the game, while the bottom screen shows the snoozing Luigi. Sometimes, the player must touch Luigi’s face as he sleeps in order to get through puzzles. Or have multiple Luigi characters appear in battle to defeat swarming enemies. As with previous games, Mario, of course, will also be involved.

Hm, I’m eager to see how this turns out.

I don’t like much of Nintendo’s stuff… But I generally enjoy the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi franchises which spun off of Super Mario RPG.

The sleep gimmick looks weird, but this could still be cool. The previous three have been.

Wow this is cool! I really didn’t expect one of these to get revealed/released so soon.
*Do wish Alphadream could do an independent work again though. Played through Tomato Adventure again a few months back and just wow… those guys really know how to make an RPG.

Hopefully they don’t ruin it like they did Paper Mario.
