Beautiful game. Im glad but im not very happy that the vita gets quite a few more ports than original titles or sequels/prequels. Its still better than having none though.

Yeah, that’s kinda become my mentality. Every spare moment I have when I’m not doing something, I’ve got my nose buried in a game.

I think it’s a difference in mentality. When you’re on the road, you’re not quite thinking about the possibility of having fun on the journey. It’s very much a “do this, this, and this!” thing before returning to your sanctuary. Whereas with long commutes in Japan, you’ve just got time to kill, why not let it be enjoyable.

That would actually be a great thing for me. At current I have little interest in the game, but if it were on Vita (where I spend most of my time these days, sans Ni no Kuni) then I’d definitely be more interested.

Yea, my PSP’s analog nub fudging up stopped me from ever finishing Birth by Sleep.

Buttons are the only issue I ever have with my portables. I never break the screen or kill the battery or anything else, just buttons.

That can happen anywhere though. Crime rate has less influence on sales, it more has to do with the fact that people in the west spend more time at home than they do in Japan.
I was just bringing up bigger cities, because more time is spent away from home there and use of public transit is higher.

If crime was a factor, then it would more stop the purchase of home consoles (which is way higher here than Japan). After all, in the US for example, home burglary is far more likely to happen to you than being robbed in the street.

Probably because people are worried about getting their 2-300 dollar device snatched by some asshole in the streets. Phones are bad enough but at least you’re holding those up to your head when in use. Otherwise they’re small enough to cradle in your hands when doing anything else on them.

Vita has juuuuust enough space to fit another klepto paw in the middle. That said, I play mine quite often (PSP too still) and fortunately the places I do use them are relatively safe. ..so far.

Same here, and I still do lots of console gaming. I just find myself doing more portable gaming now than ever before.

I still enjoy my consoles, but I’ve definitely become a mostly portable gamer over the recent years. If a portable version of any quality console game is possible, I’ll usually show my interest.
