Monolith Kyoto seeking designers for new work.

Monolith Soft updated its official Facebook page with new artwork from Yasuyuki Honne for a new project in development at its Kyoto studio.

Their main studio, located in Tokyo, is working on a new RPG for Wii U. Their Kyoto studio, however, has a new 3DS project in the works.

The image text reads that the developer is seeking staff to work in its Kyoto studio. Specifically, they’re recruiting 3D CG designers, motion designers, and effect designers, according to the Facebook description.

Given the fact that the image is from the Kyoto studio, it’s very possible we’re looking at concept artwork for the studio’s upcoming 3DS project. Then again, it’s also possible we’re not.

Thanks, Game Jouhou.

Yeah, but Project X Zone isn’t completely a Monolith Soft game.

        what do you mean?

        where there other developers?

Namco, Capcom and Sega only allowed their IP’s to be used.

unless they send some staff over there, im not sure

Project X Zone was co-developed with Banpresto, like the SRT OG games on DS.

This better be a JRPG. That artwork has great style. It could be better than their Xeno U project, in my eyes, if they manage to capture that style with strong action gameplay and a tall narrative.

Reminds me of Legend of Mana.

This could help steer me onto a 3DS, hmm my curiosity is piqued.

I love that artwork. Hope it’s related to the game, and if it is, I hope it looks something like that.

Yasuyuki Honne is a god. I will buy literally anything he puts his name to. Even that DS Dragon Ball game.
