We’re talking about DQ (in non MMO form) in Japan, this doesn’t surprise me at all. lol

What? I thought the original DQVII didn’t sell much.

Anyway, hoping for a localization for my fave DQuest game!

DQVII was was actually the best selling Playstation title of all time in Japan. Well, according to the back of the original DQVII game :p

Oh? Who knew. Then why did Enix decide to merge with Square?

        • Pyrofrost

Mainly because they were the two biggest RPG dev/publishers in Japan, and they thought they could couple their resources and make even more profit.
Though on paper it was a “merge,” in actuality, over time it became more of a hostile takeover by Enix.

I think it’s because Hironobu Sakaguchi, almost bankrupt Square with Final Fantasy Spirits Within.
