The PC version of Resident Evil 6 will contain an exclusive new multiplayer mode called “The Mercenaries: No Mercy,” Capcom has announced.
No Mercy takes the fan favorite “The Mercenaries” mode and ramps it up with more on-screen enemies, greater challenge, and the opportunity for players to use their skills to rack up high combo scores.
Resident Evil 6 will launch for PC on March 22 in North America via digital download and on the same day in Europe at both retail and digital download.
Additionally, Capcom has announced a new gameplay mode coming to all platforms called “Siege.” This is an online multiplayer mode for two to six players. It sees a single AI-controlled rookie BSAA agent in need of assistance, requiring one team of players to assume control of enemy creatures trying to take out the rookie, and another team trying to keep him alive. Each game consists of two rounds with teams switching between enemy and ally roles. The mode will become available in March for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for 320 Microsoft Points / $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.19.
Finally, the “Survivors,” “Predator,” and “Onslaught” modes previously launched on Xbox 360 will come to PlayStation 3 in February for $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.19 each. PC owners will get all four add-on game modes shortly after its March 22 launch.
