See VanillaWare's upcoming handheld port.

Famitsu.com has published the debut trailer for Oboro Muramasa, Marvelous AQL and VanillaWare’s upcoming PS Vita port of the Wii original side-scroller.

Watch it below.

That trailer was sexy. I’m still a little bit pissed that I can’t enjoy the full experience as buying DLC on non-domestic PSN accounts is a major pain. But the main game looks hot!

    • KurisuMakise

I agree but alas license restrictions =(

    • DrForbidden

I actually think that this game stands a good chance of being localised. The WII version was localised and was critically-acclaimed. Didn’t sell poorly, either, IIRC.

Well, then I guess I’ll wait until we get more news. Yay, the localized Wii version featured Japanese VAs =)

    Oi Sal

Has there been any word on an NA/EU release for this one?

Nothing yet. But considering Ignition’s dead (pretty sure they’re dead, can’t remember), I hope whoever does localize it sticks to the name Oboro Muramasa. Much better than Muramasa: The Demon Blade, I think.

      • Pyrofrost

        Agreed! :p
and thank you for responding ^^

  • Ragiacrus

a game title that I can add to my Vita collection

  • ShinAsura

    Still no release date

    • Blaz

      It’s there, March 28th.
I just hope we get a port.

        Wut

        This IS a port, lol.

        • ShinAsura

          Lol

        • Blaz

I mean, a translated one, this is an enhanced port… Not just A port.

…Pretty sure a “translation” and “port” have nothing in common >_>

If you want it to be localized, just say that. Don’t say, “I just hope we get a port.” when this already IS a port. Yes, it may be an enhanced port, but it’s still a port :x

P.S. The only time you’d stop calling it a port is if it was based on a pre-existing title, but was enhanced so much with features, graphics, etc. that we would have to call it a remake instead. Wild Arms Alter Code F comes in mind since that was originally on PS1, then they remade it for PS2. THAT was much more than just a port.

This game, however, despite the enhancements… Is simply a port with a new glossy coating.

            • Blaz

              ok, please don’t kill me.

Too late. Your sentence has already been determined by one of the higher ups. It seems you have been sentenced to execution for your statement.

The day has been decided already as well. Your execution will take place on January 23rd, 2013. We still have some legal matters to attend to, regarding your assets and the like, otherwise it would have been sooner.

On a better note… No, I don’t have plans to kill you. I just thought your statement was a little silly, that’s all :3

                It’s all good.

      • ShinAsura

        Ooh thanks

  • XypherCode

I am SO praying for a western release. In the meantime I’ll play it again on my Wii :))

  • ShinAsura

Just preordered, Neowing has it under Muramasa the demon blade and not Oboro

    • ShinAsura

      • http://sidequestblog.blogspot.com/ Musashi

        • ShinAsura

Oh well, I’m still importing lol

  • Eclipse

    This looks absolutely amazing!

I never had a chance to experience this on the Wii, so it’ll be a real treat to play this on the Vita.
