Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata touched upon the new Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
“Some of you may have some expectations of new information about the all-new Smash Brothers game for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U,” said Iwata. “It is a huge development undertaking and we need more time before it launches.
“Mr. Sakurai, who is leading the development efforts, told us, ‘We set the timing to reveal the first game screens of the new Smash Brothers at this year’s E3. Game development is on track. I would like to ask you to wait for just a little longer.'”
Stay tuned. E3 kicks off on June 11.
