Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon adds new “Darklight” element

Famitsu this week has new details on Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.

The magazine confirms the game will include download play, local play, and internet support. Expect more details on this this week.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will also introduce a new element called “Darklight.” Players can use the darklight to illuminate the spots where things were extinguised by ghosts (source says “cursed ball”—I’m assuming it’s referring to the ghosts), causing their shadows to rise to the surface. If you suck up the revealed ghosts, the hidden things will be restored.

The 3DS title will launch in Japan in Q1 2013, March 24 in North America, and sometime in March in Europe.
