The Last of Us release date set
New trailer debuted at Video Game Awards.

Sony Computer Entertainment and Naughty Dog have dated The Last of Us at the Video Game Awards tonight for a May 7, 2013 release on PlayStation 3.

A new trailer was also shared. Watch it below.

        OMG, here we go again its all in-game. Naughty Dog doesn’t do prerender or CGI. Get over it, all of what they show is in-game.

          Actually, they do CGI. But I really couldn’t care less since I’m gonna play TLOU anyways.

            They do not do CGI everything you’ve seen from the Last Of Us and Uncharted are all in-game. That article is wrong and not reliable. Everything I saw from Uncharted Graphics look the same from the retail except for changing the clothes and the level designs around.

              No no no, Uncharted 3 looked worse in the final game. Not saying it’s bad or anything, it just didn’t look as good as the E3 trailer.

                  Sorry to break it to you, but it DOES look worse than the E3 trailer. Just compare the trailer and actual gameplay and you’ll see the difference. Not like it matters, though. Was still a damn good looking console game, man.

          Didnt say it was a bad thing. Uncharted cutscenes are great but people really need to stop being ignorant on what is actually being produced by the ps3 “in-game” or not. The scenes are using the in game engine, however you are not seeing them rendered in real time. Thats all im saying. No need to go al omgomgomg like a fanboy.

    That’s why I love Sony and PS. The mind boggles how much they can squeeze out of Sony’s console. Halo 4, Gears Judgment, this and FFvXIII seem to be the last games to push current console hardware to the absolute limit =)

        Hey now! I still have hopes that Versus will be released on PS3 in 2013. At least let me dream! =)

        I always say this but… Positive thoughts!

        Moving on — This was another great trailer for the last of us. I’m ready for this game to be in my PS3. (Versus too of course lol.)

          If Versus is not even being shown for Jump Festa 13′ then the next major Japanese showing is TGS which isn’t until towards the middle to end of 2013, which means they’ll date it for release early 2014 at the earliest if it shows up at that show

          If it shows up at Jump Festa this year then yeah. I think they are waiting to announce bombshells at E3. My predicitions is FF XIII-3 will get a trailer at E3 2013 then a release date for September 2013. Then Square will announce that Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been renamed and will be coming to PlayStation Omni and PlayStation 3 March 2014. Then Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix will get a North America and European release date at E3. Then Final Fantasy Type-0 for PS Vita at E3. Then Agni’s Philosophy demo will be announce as the next Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy XV for PS Omni, Xbox, & PC.

          If anything, Square Enix will make Versus the last big bang for the final days of the PS3 before moving onto its next gen console… The PS3 might still be supported even though its next gen console is released just like the PS2 did with PS3…

          Whether or not will Versus be pushed into the next PS console depends on whether Sony will stick to that PS3′s Cell Technology or go PC environment-friendly SKU…

        Don’t worry, it will be PS3′s Swan Song, and one heck of a game. Versus ain’t gonna switch platforms, it’s simply taking its sweet time ;)

        I did not mention it, indeed. The problem I have with Beyond is that it’s running at a ridiculously lower resolution than 720p (huge black bars at top and bottom) and the footage shown so far implied performance issues (screen-tearing and frame-rate hits). TLOU runs at native 720p and is V-synced at 30fps. So, naturally it is technologically much more advanced in my book.

          Thats like saying a Ford Focus is more technologically advanced than a Ligenfelder Corvette because it gets better gas mileage
