Nippon Ichi Software has released an 8-minute gameplay video of its upcoming PlayStation 3 strategy RPG The God and the Fate Revolution Paradox.

    Hope the level cap is either 999 or 9999 like the Disgaea series. The gameplay feels a bit different in a way as you can have a partner character follow you. Please let the level cap be beyond level 100. I loved how in Disgaea titles once you got to level 1,000 and above you started to become Godly Powerful but once at level 9999 you weren’t like a GOD you were a GOD in the Games.

    I’ll be buying this Disgaea D2, and The Witch & The Hundred Knights as my Day 1 purchase to pick up even if I have to go off my Air Force base to get these games once the time comes.

    Those special attack animations! Is it just me or do they look better than Disgaea ones?

    Hmm, first thing that came to my mind was “DAT WALKING ANIMATION” it looks really awkward xD Admittedly, when the teasers for this game were coming out I was SUPER excited. Then when I saw the game play I was a bit deflated. Now seeing it in more detail and being able to hear the Japanese (I understand it better orally since I’ve put no serious efforts into the writing side, shame I know), I’ve gained a new appreciation. I really miss ISO style games and I like the sprites. I guess since it’s PS3 I would have loved for them to be even more detailed and sharp, similar to Imageepoch’s game. However to make up for that, I love the customization to the playable characters (Prinny hats for everyone!) and how the dungeon’s are created. Lastly, the boss fights look like they’ll be a treat. I’m surprised this game is coming so soon @_@ (though it was announced awhile back xD) 2013 Q1…so packed. I’ll wait for the localization though, too many other releases to juggle to even contemplate importing.

    I’m glad to see the game looking sooooo awesome! I think some were put off by the character design from the initial announcement but with this gameplay video, I think many are just waiting for some localisation announcement or to import it now.
