Resident Evil 6 PC release date set

Second title update set for consoles on January 22.

Resident Evil 6 will launch for PC as a digital download on March 22, 2013 in North America and at retail and at download in Europe on the same date, Capcom has announced. 

The PC version will include the same content found in the original console release, plus any additional elements added through title updates such as Ada Wong’s campaign being accessible from the start. The PC version will also include cloud saves, Steam achievements, friend support, game overlay, and leaderboards.

Additionally, Capcom has confirmed a second free title update for Resident Evil 6 will be released across PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 22. It will include:

Agent Hunt Mode

  • Available without having to complete a campaign
  • Selectable criteria for joining a session
    • Stage selection
    • Region selection
    • Players can determine whether to join a session based on campaign player’s settings such as infinite ammo or friendly fire setting

Stage selection

  • Individual stages within chapters can be accessed at any time once completed

General

  • QTE assist
    • QTE assist is currently part of the Amateur difficulty level, and automatically completes QTEs for the player. With this update, players can optionally activate QTE assist on any difficulty level.
  • Adjustments
    • Some sections of the game have had their difficulty adjusted to provide an improved experience

Capcom also confirmed it will release a Games on Demand version of Resident Evil 6 on Xbox LIVE this holiday season.
