Uncharted: Fight for Fortune rated in Australia

Listed as multiplatform release from One Loop Games.

The Australian Classification Board database has rated an unannounced Uncharted game for a multiplatform release.

The rating board has classified Uncharted: Fight for Fortune with a G rating for “very mild impact” violence and drug use. Its developer is listed as One Loop Games, whose specialties include “XBLA, PSN, online social networks, [and] mobile” titles.

One Loop’s website lists two secret projects, one of which is its “first big game.” That said, an Uncharted download title for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita doesn’t sound out of the question. (I’m just throwing stones, here.)

Oho? Interest piqued. I’m surprised to see ND handing the IP off to yet another dev. I wonder if that was Sony’s doing or if they got the same seal of approval as Bend?

I think if ND can keep a close eye on how it’s handled and can get something out of the efforts like GA, then it benefits them by keeping the IP going (maybe doing UC4 themselves) but allowing them to free up for a new IP with the coming gen (alongside TLOU already).

But yeah, it’s a matter of if this is ND giving the blessing or Sony wanting to put out another UC effort before ND’s own next UC title (what is Bend busy with right now?  I’d like to see them do a new SF for Vita or maybe even get a shot at their own new IP for the Vita).

After the time they spent on PSP and their work on Golden Abyss, I think they’ve certainly proven that Vita would be a good fit for them. More Syphon Filter would be great, but I’d be even happier if they finally got to create another IP. It’s been a good while.

I really do wish Sony would give some of their studios the chance at their own new IPs instead of being regulated to ‘spin-off’ titles or just handling the portable versions of other studios’ IPs (mainly speaking of Bend and Cambridge here).  Let the studios create their own new IPs for the Vita as I think both are proven to be excel on the hardware (maybe Sony could even extend the same to someone like Ready At Dawn who I think has an IP they want to make but that’s on consoles).

ND hasn’t not handed the ip to no one. I think Sony PlayStation owns the ip. This is probably a downloadable game nothing serious. When Uncharted 4 is announce I’m pretty sure ND is going to make it.

      • Solomon_Kano

Sony owns the IP. What I’m wondering is if they decided who’d be involved in this or if Naughty Dog approved of them like they did Bend for Golden Abyss. Bend even worked with ND in some capacity on Golden Abyss, so I’m wondering if the same happened here or if Sony just handed the IP out.

I’m guessing if ND approved this and then Sony probably allowed it seeing how Sony wouldn’t want to upset it’s most popular studio. Most likely ND will keep a eye on whats going.

The thing about Naughty Dog franchises is that once other developers start making them, the games continually spiral down into mediocrity and irrelevance.

If it’s just a fucking social game I don’t give a shit. As long as ND’s core franchises will still be developed by ND on their own engine I’m happy. Otherwise your words might become reality sooner than later.

Still waiting for Jak 4 but they will probably reboot it for next gen.

Apparently before working on The Last of Us they did do some work on a new Jak game. But from the sounds of it they didn’t know how to make it appealing to the modern casual gamer without removing everything that made it good in the first place, so they gave up.

social game??? ohhh come on we are not in japan bro!!!

i am just affraid this game is going to be like SH : BOOK OF MEMORY

        • 浪黒雷 (ro-kurorai)

That sounded kinda racist. As if the big publishers are not interested in social gaming. I guess social games fuel the big AAA hardcore games’ development budgets but we simply don’t give a crap about them hence we do not follow any related news.

          • YangTerlupakan

maybe because (some) hardcore gamer will call social game is not “FULL EXP” but i think the main problem is the gameplay
why play game with point-and-click system if u can travel in full open world 3D??

after so many possible i just suprise u compared uncharted with social game lol ;-)

I did?! Fuck, that was certainly not my intention. I just see a funky sub-title and the fact ND are not involved to put me off. It’s a casino-game, so I was not too far off the mark anyway :P
