New 7th Dragon reveal set for Weekly Famitsu?

Sega has launched a mysterious new teaser site. Dubbed “A.D. 2021 Tokyo,” it shows artwork of Tokyo being swarmed by parasite-like creatures.

Exactly what we’re looking at will be revealed in Weekly Famitsu this Thursday, which should leak on Tuesday night. Game Jouhou reckons it’s Seven Dragon 2020: 3rd Encount, whose trademark registration was discovered late last month.

It’s definitely a new 7th Dragon. Those dragons and flowers are a dead giveaway.

The only question now is: will this new game be PSP-exclusive as well?

I enjoyed 7th Dragon 2020, but it would suck balls if it were another PSP-exclusive.

I have no problem with it being on PSP except that would doom any chance of it being localized.

It’d be doomed anyway, since it’s Sega.

Well, Sega are developing and publishing the RGG (Yakuza) games and those are far from doomed.

Except that no 7th Dragon game has ever been localised into English, and being PSP-exclusive absolutely does not help in any way. If it were on the Vita, there’d be a higher chance, comparatively. PSP? Dead in the water.

Sorry, my bad. I was referring to SEGA themselves, not to that PSP game. Not everything they do is bad, I mean. Their RGG games are ace.
