When it comes, "it will surprise the industry," says Ubi CEO.

Rainbow 6 Patriots, Ubisoft Montreal’s November 2011-announced, morality-centered entry in the 14-year-old shooter series, is still in development, Ubisoft has confirmed.

“The only thing I can say is that we have a good team working on it, and it’s really looking good,” Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told Polygon. “So when it will come, it will surprise the industry.”

Asked if the game has been moved to next-generation development (PlayStation 4, next Xbox, etc.), Guillemot said “there’s a good chance it can be.”

I really hope this game comes out next year on current gen. The only FPS and Tom Clancy game I care about.

I had forgotten about this. I hope we get some new footage next E3. R6V2 was pretty fun in co-op, so I’m hoping this keeps that up.

The only thing i can say is that if this title is handled in-house by unisoft its not worth bothering.
Just take a look back at the series and how it started to smell once ubisoft took more and more control over it.
