I don’t have a ps2 (although I really want one and am pissed that sony systems never have backwards compatability), so I’m tempted to get this, but it would be cheaper on the long run to buy a used copy of the game and a new ps2. I want to have the whole story first, anyways. And I’m saving my DLC money for Xillia, too. I’ll need it, if you know what I mean… I hope this has a demo version, but I doubt it will.

Ummm I believe u meant you’re pissed because Sony removed PS2 backward compatibility from the PS3, not Sony’s systems never have backwards compatibility.

Sony’s PS2 had PS1 backwards campatibilty and the original PS3′s had both PS1 and 2 backwards compatibility.

Oh, sorry. My mistake. Thanks for clarifying.
Well, more recently, anyways, then. And I thought the early PS3′s could only play certain PS2/1 games :/ idk

The original 60gb models could play mostly everything, the metal gear solid 4 80gb models could play around 80% of all ps2 games and all ps1 games.
