CyberConnect2 developing new Solatorobo

Little Tail Bronx series to see fourth project.

CyberConnect2 is working on a sequel to its 2011-released Solatorobo: Red the Hunter, company boss Hiroshi Matsuyama told Spanish website Koi-nya.net at anime and manga convention Salon del Manga de Barcelona this weekend.

Matsuyama earlier this year expressed the desire to create a new story within the Little Tail Bronx series, in which Solatorobo is the third entry, but was able to officially confirm its development at the Barcelona event.

So…if he confirmed that while attending a Spanish event, does that mean they actually have plans to release the game in Europe, at such an early development stage?

Solatorobo is the THIRD entry!? What the heck was the other one besides Tail Concerto?!

Wikipedia lists a game that was released in between Tail Concerto and Solatorobo, named “Mamoru-kun” (2005). Sadly there is no wikipedia entry to go with that name, so that’s all I know about that game.

Here’s mah sauce: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solatorobo Just scroll down until you see “Mothership Series”.

i think mamoru-kun is program not game :

“……However, the company did indirectly return to the world of Tail Concerto in 2005 when it designed the image character “Mamoru-kun”[8] for Fukuoka Prefecture’s disaster-warning email program of the same name.[9]
The promotional materials for the program reveal that Mamoru-kun and
his friends live in the country of “Nipon,” which, along with Tail
Concerto’s Prairie Kingdom, is part of a larger world called “Little
        Tail Bronx.”…………..”

I can hardly wait, I hope the game sees a release in the U.S.

But I don’t know why they call it a 4th entry in the series, Tail Concerto 2 never made it to the actual development phase, there was just concept art.

The second project was actually a character called ‘Mamoru-kun’. CyberConnect2 were asked to design a mascot for this fire department in Japan, and they decided to design more characters around Mamoru, etc. He was even a cameo character alongside Waffle in Solatorobo.

I can’t actually wait to see this happening. I did love Solatorobo. The story, the characters, they where all great fun, but the graphics of the game really showed the limitations of the Hardware. Seeing this kind of game realized on the 3DS or even a Home console, with proper Analog controls and crisp graphics… Yep, I’m absolutely up for that! :D
