BlazyBloo: Clone Phantasma announced for 3DS

Chibi-style action game featuring rampaging clones.

Arc System Works has announced a new game in its BlazBlue spin-off series BlazyBoo for 3DS.

BlazyBloo: Clone Phantasma, whose title is not far from the upcoming BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, is an action game featuring popular BlazBlue characters in chibi-style forms.

Story mode, which consists of seven stages, tells the tale of many clones on a rampage. Ten new characters have been added to the roster from Chrono Phantasma.

Thanks, Game Nyarth.

OMG I am so getting this! Yay! I really liked the first one. It was the first time I even played a Blazblue game, technically. I’m glad they brought this back. So cute. <3 And it even has a story this time! :D

I’d love to import this but Nintendo had to go and region lock the 3ds.

      • fireemblembeast

I think we’ll get it after we get BBCP here….hopefully, I mean, they always deliver, unlike some other companies that take years to get a game to the west. >:I And yeah, region-lock sucks… They didn’t even have it with DS; why add it now???

        • YangTerlupakan

Only first DS generation not region lock if i am not wrong and region lock begun from DSi until now

          • fireemblembeast

Yeah, that’s what I meant. The first two models. Although now I realize that that’s wierd, because I’ve played a game that I imported from Japan on my DSi XL and 3DS. Maybe because it was an early DS game….? idk.

            • kiri25

Most DS games will work fine with the DSi the region lock was mostly due to downloadable games only.

                Oh I see.

     Good times!

    what genre would dis be?
Da Only reason i never played Blaz Blue iz i don’t really like Fighters.

    • fireemblembeast

(I don’t really like fighters either, but I like BB for the story and music.) Well, the last one was a beat-em-up. There were like, games with rounds that lasted less than a minute, so it was a frantic fight between you and 3 CPUs. Of course they had items and different stages, but I expect this will have more content. And you could jump and use a few combos and all that, and you could really interact with the stages.

what the…….. its like project mirai….. full of chibis…….. -_-

    • Kazziyan

      Project Mirai is great.

I was sort of expecting a port like they did with Continuum Shift.

    Well chibi is good too~

    • fireemblembeast

      I wish all the games had ports for 3DS, because I find the PS3 remote less responsive to my inputs in BB than in CSII for 3DS. That was so fun, and not painful to play like the PS3 ones. Well, you know what I mean, it didn’t respond to my moves (didn’t recognize when I tried to use a distortion drive), while I could play it very well on the 3DS. And the 3DS didn’t even have online, so now I look like a noob when I play online on PS3. Sorry to rant there. -_-;

Umm what? I guess it’s all a matter of preference, but the 3DS version of CSII was the worst version of it. Even the PSP one was sadly better. Sadly yes, I did buy the game 3 times.

        • fireemblembeast

3 times?! I thought CSII was only on two platforms… .-.
And it’s not like the 3DS version was that much worse. It just had worse graphics and sound quality, right?…Right?

          • Sevyne

Technically 3 times. PS3 version of CS was patched to CSII, just lacking the arcade mode stories for the DLC characters.

Haha. Hey man, if you enjoyed the 3DS one I’m not gonna hate on ya for it. I just didn’t. It’s the only 3DS game I traded in.

            • fireemblembeast

Oh yeah. I guess that counts…
Oh, no problem, I don’t mind if you don’t like it. But yeah, it was my first 3DS game (and the one with the most hours spent on. Figures, though, it was the only 3DS game I got until like 10 months later).I grew up on Nintendo systems, not Sony ones, so I’m still getting used to Sony. I feel more comfortable playing a fighting game on a handheld, anyways. I like having headphones in, y’know? And yes, I know consoles have headphones. But I like playing under the covers at 1 AM sometimes. :)

I’ve always leaned more towards portable gaming because it’s more convenient for me, and I usually end up in bed playing games as well. :)

My 3DS collection is still rather small really. Probably has a lot to do with 3DS being flooded with Mario games and I am sick and tired of Mario (I know saying that is like a crime against humanity, but it can’t be helped). At least I can still play my DS games on it too though.

                • fireemblembeast

I grew up with GBC and GBA (I had a PS2 for a month, but my parents returned it because they thought the “vibrations were unhealthy”..>_>), so I’ve always leaned toward portable games, too.
Yeah, I know what you mean by “sick of Mario”. It’s like Nintendo ignores everything but Mario. For pete’s sake, they emphasize Super Mario Sticker Star instead of FE13 (both by IS), while FE gets new games like every two years and Mario gets like 10 each year. And they didn’t even put any FE attractions in the Wii U Nintendo Land game. (How can it become a good-selling game if it isn’t advertised?! That’s why we need that other SSB game soon.) They could have done it! I mean, sure, I like Mario games, but I’d like to see other series have a chance. They need to try something new. Everyone does.
                  I ranted again…

                  • Sevyne

I think the pace that they release Zelda games is the right pace, Mario is just too much, and they need to give Metroid more love. You are definitely right about FE though. In fact, if it isn’t Mario or Zelda they barely advertise any other games.

                    • fireemblembeast

                      I totally agree with you.
I would play Zelda if it didn’t have spiders…I’ve tried LoZ 1, 2, and OoT. The first two I dropped because they were really hard (but still fun; I got them for free from 3DS Ambassador thing) and OoT I loved, until the Water Temple, at least…First of all, it was difficult. Second, the sheer number of spiders in that place….lllo___o  I was having a crazy, desparate spider-slaying rampage, and just when I thought it was over, I heard a distant jumping spider noise… I looked left, right, front, back and it got louder and louder…I looked down. Then I looked up, and BAM, the spider from above just drops from the sky onto the screen and I scream like a little girl and turn off my Wii and I’m scarred for life. I know, I’m hopeless. -_-
And when you look at any RPG, when you go into a secret area, you get a treasure chest. But no, in OoT, you get a skultulla and then a chest… I have no motivation to do anything except ride Epona and play minigames in the game. v_v
