Sony Worldwide Studios Boss Shuhei Yoshida told Famitsu this week that there are a lot of unannounced things in terms of software being prepared for PlayStation Vita.

And that’s all. Vita fans, get hyped.

Thanks, Game Nyarth.

    Final Fantasy Type-0
    Metal Gear Solid
    Grand Theft Auto
    Bioshock
    Dissidia 3
    Star Wars Battlefront
    Dead Space
    Tom Clancy
    Level 5 Game
    Namco Bandai Game
    Atlus Game

    First Party:

    Gran Turismo
    Motorstorm (Console Quality)
    Syphon Filter
    Twisted Metal

But I know half of this won’t happen.

    • Anime10121

If even two of those were announced

      FF Type 0
MGS (an original game and not another port)
      GTA
      Dissidia
NB game (that actually releases in the west)
Ratchet and Clank (thats more like the older games or the “Future” ones, instead of being similar to All for One)
      Tomba Reboot

      A Vita owner I would become. :D

  • InsaneChronos

    Yay, Vita is doomed! *cheers*

    • KingOptimusOrigins111

Please go back to your 3DS cave troll.  -_-

      • InsaneChronos

Calm down. I was just being sarcastic about, you know, “Vita is doomed” articles.

        • KingOptimusOrigins111

My bad thought you were trolling like some people on this website.

       Truly doomed.

      • InsaneChronos

Yeah, the Vita is doomed to be a console with great number of great games.

I’d be more hyped if I were given something more concrete..

  • http://www.facebook.com/JaeWhy SasuleUchiha

    RPG please!!!

    • DrForbidden

Well, God Eater 2 is already in development, but I agree we need more.

      • http://www.facebook.com/JaeWhy SasuleUchiha

While I’m looking forward to God Eater 2, I’m not sure that count as RPG. I hope it’s RPG like Ni no Kuni, Legend of Heroes, Tales, etc.

  • zweii

    BOO! HISS!

Enough teases, i say! There has been too much of that when it comes to Vita all year.

  • http://moefx.wordpress.com/ barklight

    Well, bring it on!

  • Duc PC-QB

I’ll slap Mr Yoshida if most of their title are mini or crap low budget games.

Otherwise, I think it’s good time to announce Vita Heaven Gamer version 2 lol

    It begins.

  • Skerj

Too bad Game Republic is dead because a Folklore on Vita would kick all ass.

    • http://gematsu.com/ Sal Romano

Sony owns the Folklore IP. It can always have a different team make a new entry in the series.

      • Skerj

Right you are Sal, right you are. Alright, too bad Sony didn’t read my post because a Folklore on Vita would kick all ass.

        • http://gematsu.com/ Sal Romano

          I’d buy it!

        • Anime10121

Unfortunately the first, even being the gem it is, never sold enough to warrant a sequel/spiritual successor, otherwise we would have had our Folklore two :(

          • Skerj

Yeah sadly I know that well :( the first one is still one of my favorite PS3 games one of the two I still have from that dark dark first year. There WAS Coded Soul on PSP which took the the creatures from Folklore (Folk Soul) and put them into a fairly decent dungeon crawling RPG. Unfortunately that didn’t do too well either (didn’t even get localised) so it dropped out of everyone’s mind.

Watching Soul Sacrifice revved up my thought engine and I remembered that Vita could actually pull off all of the capture mechanics from Folklore and then some due to the touch panels. Hell, they have over 100 monsters/abilities to work with still. From there, well anything could be done and I’m trying to refrain from posting half of a design doc as a comment. Alas it isn’t meant to be.

For Vita’s sake this better be good.

  • xxx128

I’d love to see some 2d awesomeness on it. Perhaps an old school style jrpg or a nice 2d fighter.
The 3d capabilities dont impress me much at all.

    • DrForbidden

Wait, Vita can do 3d? I wasn’t aware of that.

As for 2D fighters, there is already Mortal Kombat, Blazblue: CSE, and P4 Golden. Granted, they’re all ports, but many of the Vita’s games at the moment are ports, unfortunately.

He means three dimensional game worlds such as Kingdom Hearts, Mario galaxy, Gran Turismo etc, he/she’s not referring to stereoscopic 3D as the Vita cant do that.

    So it begins…

And when exactly do they plan on announcing these titles?  TGS has come and went, with nothing but a handful of titles to be shown off for the platform.  I mean, I want Vita to succeed, I really do, as I LOVE my PSP (even though it doesnt get nearly the respect it deserves in the west), but I need reasons, i.e. Third party games, to purchase a Vita.

While Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and Soul Sacrifice (a second party game published by Sony), all indeed look excellent, I’m waiting till I see original content from Square, Nippon Ichi, Namco, and Capcom, that arent based on ports, before I plump down money for the thing.

Isn’t that New York Comic-Con thing coming up soon? Maybe we’ll hear something then.

      • Anime10121

Comic con is not really a venue for announcing new games.  Sure every now and then a publisher will announce a new title there like Legends 3 (which we all know how THAT turned out), but for the most part, Comic Con isn’t about games so much as it’s about comics, manga, (comic) movies, and cartoons/anime.

    • KurisuMakise

Sony’s strategy in terms of announcements these days, tends to skew towards games closer to being released or marketed heavily for the year (like CoD: BOD, AC3:L). TGS’ announcements for example stretch up until March 2013 which is appreciated.

  • FaithlessMr

That’s really great, but as always, I appreciate actions more than I appreciate words. So, get announcing Sony.

I’ll be really excited if at least most of these are RPGs. Extra points if none of those are ports. I know I’m getting a Vita for Persona 4: Golden, so I’ll definitely need some more games to keep me by :)

A new Playstation Vita Heaven finally?

  • http://superguyver.deviantart.com/ SuperGuyverUSA

I’m excited, really any games for the Vita means that there is still interest for it. And when there is interest, there are developers from all around! Sooner or later, we’ll get the third-party developed games that everyone wants.

  • InsaneChronos

Wild Arms 6 for the Vita please.

  • PrinceHeir

    show us some proof sony!!

With Gaikai coming to mobiles and tablets with all Sony’s big guns, I (sadly) believe Sony will stick a fork in the Vita unless it has a very stellar Christmas…

  • InsaneChronos

    What’s so funny?
