Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Wii U features detailed
Five-player split-screen and exclusive battle arenas. The Wii U version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will include exclusive features. They are:
- GamePad Screen: By default, the GamePad screen will display a map showing each racer’s position. If you touch a racer’s icon, you’ll get a real-time stream of their perspective. If you lift the controller to the TV, the display will turn into a rear-view mirror.
- Five-player Split-screen: Up to four players can share the TV during split-screen multiplayer, while a fifth player can join in using the GamePad.
- Battle Arenas: There are several Wii U-exclusive Battle Arenas, which are multiplayer modes that bear resemblance to the mini-games in Nintendo Land. In “Super Monkey Ball Arena,” for example remote control players must drive around and collect bananas, while the GamePad’s goal is to roll around in his monkey ball and squash the racers.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is due for Wii U on November 18, and for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, and 3DS two days earlier, on November 16.
