While dedicated fansites are cool, I don’t know why you would want to actively ‘raise international awareness’. That might just end up bringing negative publicity to the game and franchise. Of course, I know your definition of ‘international’ refers mostly to the US and Europe, but it is naive to assume that the majority of international communities are tolerant of this sort of thing.

This is the internet age. People who care about anime-style Japanese games with a heavy emphasis on boobs probably already know about the franchise to some degree. People who don’t, won’t care, at least not until some attention-whoring journalist or politician trying to make a name for him/herself by manufacturing an outrage gets wind of it.

Perhaps I’m being overly-cautious, but yeah, we should be careful what we wish for. If the game is able to thrive as a relatively niche game, it does not necessarily mean more exposure is a good idea. Your fansites should be just that: fansites that provide information and news for fans, and a gathering place for discussions. Let like-minded people discover the franchise by themselves, and initiate themselves. With an anime series coming up, that shouldn’t be difficult.

      That’s just my 2 cents.
