New PlayStation Store live again in Europe

After a bumpy launch, it returns with repairs.

The new PlayStation Store is live in all European territories, Sony has confirmed.

The revamp was initially launched last week, but after speed and PlayStation Plus-related issues, it was quickly removed for repairs.

The United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil were to see the new store launch tomorrow, October 23. However, it has since been delayed.

Like I noticed before, it takes a bit longer for the store to load now due to it being more of an game/application than an extension of the XMB. This is evidenced by the fact that once your in the store, if you press the PS button, it will bring up the simple PS menu (with quit game, turn off system, turn off controller, etc) similar to games and unlike the current iteration of the store which just asks you if you want to exit the store.

Other than that, the store itself has definitely been optimized a bit more since the initial launch and I’m diggin’ it.

Still giving me the Xbox feeling.

It was up all the time, yesterday, 2 days ago, 3 days ago, i don’t know why the media and websites told everyone that the store was taken down in Europe xD

Lols either way i can already tell you that the store is shit and broken, when you click X on the PS Store icon it takes 2-3 sec and shows the blue(original PS Stor icon in the middle of the screen, loading thingy)

3-4 seconds later the video output changes so it shows your Input “HDMI” and black screen for 2-3 more seconds, then after 2 more seconds you see a new PS Store icon(the grey one) then it loads for another 3 sec and FINALLY you are at the PS STORE,  BUT wait!!! theres more :D

Once you finally get inside the store will take more of them 2-4 seconds to load images of the games XD

Be ready for 2-3-4 seconds infinite loop hell for every action.

Degrading user experience?, thats upgrading on sony’s mind.

Make store the most painful thing to navigate, that has been the motto ever since they hired artists to do the jobs of engineers.

Sort of how the Dashboard experience got degraded on 360, with now having games relegated 5 tabs away from where it should be.

Unless the make 0 second delay time on loadings and buffer rate for things like picture loadings and such then  the store is actually a big upgrade from the original.

It finally has nice sorting things for the games and their DLC’s, it’s all good but if they dont fix the slow pathetic experience that this new PS Store offers then yes it will feel like a downgrade, at least it does for now.

Oh and in before defensers saying my internet sucks thats why it loads so slow, yes 100mb/s internet sucks xD i mean god forbid 10 mega per sec would have trouble buffering 400 KB pictures of the PS Store.
