Plus, play with a Pro Controller, if the GamePad doesn't suit you.

The Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will include free online four-person multiplayer, Capcom announced during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast. Local multiplayer between a single Wii U and three 3DS units will also be available.

Downloadable quests launched post-release for the 3DS version in Japan will be included on-disc on the Wii U version.

The Wii U version is playable with both a GamePad or Pro Controller. When playing with the GamePad, you’ll be able to customize your interface.

Sad that we live in a world where it’s news that a game is free to play online. If anything is strange or wrong, it’s that Microsoft charges people to play their games online. I’m still not sure how they get away with that scam.

That kind of talk is dangerous in the seam. How dare you try to stir unrest towards the Capitol.

/runs and tells the peace keepers.

It’s probably because the original Tri had pay-based online in Japan.

it’s a shame but what can you do??

at least they finally confirm it so we don’t have to question it by release time unless they pull a 180 on us.

very excited for a MonHun console game with online play :)

Why….whatever will I do with all the money this “free” online gameplay is saving me?

Why does the graphics look like a PS2 game I thought the Wii U is supposed to be a HD console.

It better be no one will pay to play MH online in the states.. the only reason it happens in Japan is because its so populer kinda like XBL here. People are paying for digital air LOL.
