Final Fantasy XIV PS3 controls detailed in Famitsu
Key words: directional pad and shoulder buttons.New details on the PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy XIV have come out of this week’s Famitsu.
In the PlayStation 3 version, players can choose commands using the d-pad and shoulder buttons. The d-pad corresponds to the four horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen. Commands are assigned to the four directions. The L2 and R2 buttons can be used to switch between groups. Up to eight commands can be implemented directly by choosing with the d-pad and pressing buttons.
Macros can also be set. If you press L2 and R2 at the same time, you’ll be able to choose directly from a different palette. Up to eight can be registered to a palette. But even though it says eight, it’s not common throughout a class. Each class can register sets independently.
All of Final Fantasy XIV‘s possible in-game actions can be made into icons. The main commands can also be crafted into an XMB-style menu command like in the PC version.
Thanks, Game Nyarth.
