Rising Star Games has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming PlayStation 3 update Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut. And they’re not using the word “teaser” lightly!

The first minute of the 1:11 trailer is nothing but rave from the press. Then there’s about four seconds of static gameplay footage, following the Rising Star Games logo.

The game’s out in 2013. Watch the trailer below.

The ending was looked good hopefully they show more. Don’t know why they showed all those raves from the press.

Unfortunately, the ‘accolades trailer’ practice is an increasing trend in video games. The uninformed public are easily suckered by soundbite quotes from reviewers and pundits, and this provides an easy out for developers instead of actually showing good stuff in their trailers.

Awesome! Loved the original version, one of the best games this gen imo. I found the low budget animations and visuals kinda added to its charm and some of the audio (like the enemies) added a little humour to the experience, but I’m really looking forward to the chance to play it with all the improvements and especially the new content.
