Konami and Kojima Productions have unveiled the first real-time gameplay footage of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.
Studio boss Hideo Kojima confirmed during the game’s Penny Arcade Expo panel today that it is a “prologue” to Metal Gear Solid 5. It was shown running once again on PC, but was confirmed to be a current generation console project.
“This is exactly what it should look like on PlayStation and Xbox 360. But we’re working on next-gen hardware as well,” said Kojima.
Kojima hopes that the game will give players the feeling of the first Metal Gear Solid, thus the name Ground Zeroes.
“One thing I want to make clear is that Ground Zeroes is something I’m making myself,” Kojima said, adding that he’s putting all of his energy into the title. “I want to make it clear that Snake is back, but I’m also back.”
