I just hope that the RE6′s final game is much better than demo, since the demo feels very… generic.

Reading impressions from the recent livestream- it is a lot better it seems. They just had a bad choice.

demo is demo, game is game

True, but the demo should be a good representation of what to expect in the full version. Bugs aside, what’s the point of showing us how it plays in a demo if the game is going to be different?

        :P

Resident Evil has a name, they not depend of demos

That’s a pretty silly excuse to not have a good demo. So, basically, if I understand this correctly. You’re saying it’s okay for companies to be lazy with the demo if it is for a game from a long standing franchise that the company knows people will buy because of its name alone. Is that right?

If so, that’s pretty sad. Every demo should give the player at least a decent idea of what to expect from the full game. If they just clumsily throw something together, it could end up misrepresenting the game entirely. For example:

If you have a demo which showcases mainly story elements with cutscenes, some people may be turned off by that and think that’s all the full game will entail. However, on that same token, if you show something which only contains action and no story elements at all, that person may be lead to believe the full game is all action and no story.

It’s all about moderation when it comes to these. You want to put just enough of ‘this’ and ‘that’ in the demo to grab the attention of multiple parties looking for something in particular in a game. When someone lazily puts together a demo that’s clunky, it’s likely to push that person away and make them not even want to buy it at all or wait until it is in the bargain bin.

tl;dr: It doesn’t matter what name your game carries. Effort should be put into making the demo to make it an enjoyable experience and sway that person’s interest towards purchasing the full product.

Well i saw already the ending of leon’ campaign and the final boss is somehow the most difficult to defeat in all re titles…so for me it is very challenging

  • PrinceHeir

man RE6 is really that good?? :D

i did played it and yeah i enjoyed it pretty well. aside from the brightness settings which is low as hell and the game is too dark to see anything, especially Leon’s campaign.

    definitely pre ordering this baby!!!!!!!!

Wow, near perfect scores for RE6. I’m still going to wait for the complete GOTY edition next year, though.
