Reggie Fils-Aime to reveal how Wii U will change gaming.

Nintendo will host a press event for Wii U on September 13 in New York City, which to be hosted by name-taker and Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.

According to invitations for the event, it will reveal “more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment.” Can we expect a Wii U price and release date? Considering the holiday season is only getting closer, I’d think so.

Thanks, Kotaku.

Can we expect a price and release date? They’d better offer up those two things, frak, if the thing is suppose to launch this fall and they come out Sept 13th and still don’t have that info… there’s something seriously wrong.

    Holiday, I think. Not Fall.

But I would like some things made clear at this conference.

How about some 1st party games and a price with full specs for the Wii U. At its current state only the Nintendo Elite like myself, will buy it on its first few months.

Is it just me or are consoles evolving to look similar to each other in every generation?

Just got my invite to this. Guess I’ll be there!

Good going!  Hopefully it’ll be worth the trip/hype!  I wanna see Nintendo try harder in the US, and this conference is a good place to start!  They’ve been much better to Japan and our European brethren (on the localization front with OR games and Inazuma) lately.  I’d just like to see treatment a little more equally on our side of the ocean.
