Metal Gear Solid 4 trophy list

Konami has released the full trophy list for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which is receiving its trophy and data install patch on Monday in Japan, and “in the beginning of August” overseas, according to trophy project producer Yoshikazu Matsuhana. (I’d wager we get it the same day.)

Find the full trophy list below, as posted by the U.S. PlayStation Blog. (Update: Kojima Productions has confirmed that there are also hidden trophies in addition to the set below.)

  • Bronze / You enjoy all the killing, that’s why. / Killed many enemies in one area, and vomited.
  • Bronze / Divine Wind / Caused a “divine wind” using the Tanegashima.
  • Bronze / Hands Up! / Held an enemy soldier at gunpoint and performed a body check.
  • Bronze / Emotion Control / Controlled an enemy soldier’s emotions using an Emotive Magazine.
  • Bronze / Hurt me more! / Shocked an enemy soldier using Mk. II/III.
  • Bronze / Drum Can Addict / Knocked an enemy soldier flying using a Drum Can.
  • Bronze / That Tune Is His Mind / Control Music Played Oishii Two-han Seikatsu and made one of the BB Corps dance.
  • Bronze / Overhead view — just like old times… / Used overhead view on Shadow Moses Island.
  • Silver / SUNLIGHT! / Obtained the Solar Gun.
  • Silver / I Just Don’t Fear Death / Caused ALERT status while wearing the Corpse Camo.
  • Silver / Where I Can See Ya / Located enemy soldiers using the Scanning Plug.
  • Silver / Ghost Photography / Addict Snapped at least 5 shots of ghosts on Shadow Moses Island.
  • Silver / FaceCamo Addict / Obtained 10 or more types of FaceCamo (excluding types obtained via password).
  • Silver / Can you feel my power now!!!? / Took control of an enemy soldier’s body using the Mantis Doll or Sorrow Doll.
  • Silver / Are you an Otaku too? / Viewed all model posters.
  • Silver / You’re pretty good. / Got kissed by Ocelot during the final battle.
  • Gold / Flashback Mania / Viewed all flashbacks.
  • Gold / Sounds of the Battlefield / Obtained all iPod tracks (excluding tracks obtained via password).
  • Gold / I am THE expert on weapons, equipment and cutting-edge technology. / Obtained all weapons (excluding weapons obtained via password).
  • Platinum / The Legendary Hero / Obtained all trophies.

    Sounds of the Battlefield – For that trophy you need to unlock all 40 emblems on the game. For me that platinum its far away from an easy one….

    We waited 4 years for 20 trophies :( at least make it 35 trophies.

    The known trophies so far look pretty tempting and easy to get. I guess the hidden trophies are storyline related trophies and difficulty related trophies.

    EDIT: I have to take back what I said. Some of the trophies are very hard to get since it requires you to complete Big Boss difficulty to obtain certain stuffs for the trophies.

    Who decided to down vote almost every comment in this thread 7 times? I think someone is trolling. To much of a coincidence for all these comments to conveniently have 7 down votes. Grow up, people. (Yes, two of the comments have -6 currently. My point is still valid though.)

      How did you get 32 disagrees in one night? You need to tell Sal about this. I did disagree with everybody ONE TIME because I did not agree with what everybody was saying and I do have 4 accounts but I did not disagree with everybody MULTIPLE TIMES. The only reason I have 4 accounts because I was dealing with computer difficulties at the time.

      If you are talking about Ranks like Big Boss rank and etc, the Sounds of the Battlefield trophy actually requires you to
      obtain all Ranks in the game in order to get an iPod song required to complete that particular trophy.

    Looks like the troll(s) decided to come back and have at it again.

    Someone or some group of trolls is enjoying this. I’ll make sure Sal knows about this everyone, I’m not all that sure about what we can do.

    This was the type of stuff I was afraid of with down voting. When anon trolls can come in and just troll with clicking down vote, it messes up user reputation levels, and even can report some of the comments as offensive or spam when they receive enough down votes.

    This is why most websites disable down voting in the end. You can’t trust people on the internet to be mature about it, the anonymity of it all creates trolls and people who think abusing a system is funny. It just hurts the community and even discourages some people from posting a comment at all, and that is the part of it that gets me upset.

      Hey, all. Zero just informed me of all the down-voting in this thread.

      It’s a shame that at this point, there isn’t really anything I can do about it. I wrote Disqus a detailed letter about a week ago detailing some changes I’d like made with their new 2012 design – the option to disable down-voting being the primary concern.

      I’ll follow up with them today and show them this thread as a prime example of why they should, well, hurry their butts!

        Can you see if someone is trying to hack the system? because 33 disagrees in one night on Zero’s comment is like impossible for one person or even a group, it sounds more like if someone is hacking the system.

          I don’t think someone’s hacking the system. They’d have to be hacking Disqus, which would be pretty difficult, as I’d imagine they have tight security. Even a site admin like me or mod like zero can’t assign posts up or down votes.

              They could be using a variety of different tricks. Think about how people try go get around being banned from a website, or bypassing a content filter while on a schools internet. Those are some examples. Eventually, Disqus will give Sal more admin features and things will get cleaned up.

              In the end, none of that matters. If someone is actually wasting time to issue down votes, they really need to get a new hobby. It doesn’t matter how clever they think they are, individual or group, the joke is on them.

      Is it possible (over time) to limited the up/down voting option to site members only ?
      I’m sure it is… however will not begin to speak to the back-end flexibility.

      Regardless, I appreciate the monitoring and love this site.
