Level-5 and Imageepoch talk new RPG developments

Imageepoch readying first high-def action RPG.

Level-5 president Akihiro Hino and Imageepoch CEO Ryoei Mikage commented on their latest RPG developments in Famitsu this week.

Hino told Famitsu that as a designer, he wants to make an open-world game along the lines of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or Dragon’s Dogma. He hopes to do this in the near future. He also said a follow-up report on Yokai Watch is in its final stages of preparation.

Mikage, on the other hand, said Imageepoch is currently working on its first action RPG for high-definition platform(s). It will be the studio’s second HD game, the first being the turn-based RPG Toki to Towa, due for PlayStation 3 on October 11 in Japan. He also said to expect big releases, one after the other, in 2013.
