A guide posted on the official Gamescom website today containing a “list of all the new hardware and software products” to appear in Cologne tomorrow includes “Half-Life 3,” the long missing in action FPS sequel from Valve.
“Dragon Age 3” from Electronic Arts is also on the list.
According to the PDF file, Gamescom takes “no responsibility for the correctness of this information.” But Lambda Generation called Gamescom management, and was reportedly told the list is accurate.
“In case that’s not enough, I just got off the phone with a Gamescom representative who confirmed to me that every game on that list will be showcased at Gamescom 2012, and that the list itself is entirely legitimate,” said the site. “I didn’t ask about Half-Life 3, but you’re free to pick up the phone if you like.”
Valve will be present at Gamescom, according to CVG, but is restricted to private meetings.
Update 8:55 a.m.: A Gamescom representative has told Eurogamer that the Half-Life 3 and Dragon Age 3 mentions were listed in error.
