Famitsu teases ‘surprise scoop’ this week
Plus, new info on Resdient Evil 6, Fist of the North Star.

The next issue of Famitsu will have a ‘surprise scoop’ on a new game, the publication has teased on Twitter.

Additionally, the magazine will have the latest information on Resident Evil 6 and Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2.

Weekly Famitsu No. 1237 hits newsstands on Thursday, August 23. The magazine should leak on the night of Tuesday, August 21.

    but in all honesty, I would love some sort of info on Final Fantasy Versus XIII

    This WON’T be about Versus XIII. Just don’t even get your hopes up over it. It’s best for you, so you won’t feel disappointed when this turns out to be something else.

    Actually, I don’t recall any recent Fam scoops leading into major game announcements or any other exciting news…but I do hope I’m wrong.

      OMG we know that. I was just hoping it does. We know its not going to be revealed on Famitsu magazine. You don’t have to comment every time people get their hopes up on these types of articles. We already know they’re saving it for TGS 2012 or that Final Fantasy event September 1st. The reason why people like me get our hopes up because you never know what could happen.

        Well, I was only hoping to reduce the possible disappointment everyone would get from realizing this is not a Versus teaser, since that’s pretty much what everyone always assumes when we’re talking news from mysterious games from Japan. I did not want to piss anyone off.

      It’s like I pointed out in my post below. “Surprise Scoop on a New Game.” Versus is not a new game.

      I know I’m late on the reply but yeah I understand where your coming from but its been 6 years of disappointments and hoping but I think a lot of us knew this has nothing to do with Versus and we all know Nomura is patient guy. I believe Nomura wants Versus to have its own spotlight at TGS 2012 away from FF XIII-3 so it can get the hype it deserves. So I understand you want to reduce the disappointments but I think at this point people are tired and are just playing around when they say “maybe scans of FF versus :]”  on these type of articles.

    I WOULD say its FFXIII-3 but considering Square’s event isnt until next weekend, I have no clue what it could be.  More likely than not though, itll probably be something underwhelming, as Famitsu really hasnt had a “huge” scoop in a while (and evidence in the fact that even they dont call it a “big” scoop, just a surprising one).
