The latest media drop for Ys: Foliage Ocean in Celeta introduces new characters and locations, and shares new gameplay details.
New characters include Ozma (age 20) and Canlilica (age 14). New locations include Selray, “the settlement on the great river,” and Highland, “the town of wisdom.”
New to the battle system is the “Hirameki” system (or “Flash” system), which sees characters learn new skills during battle, which are then registered to their skill list. Also detailed is the game’s “Personal Action” system, which allows certain characters to interact with specific things and places. Shown in the screenshots is Carna using her knife toss to cut a rope, and Dulen opening a treasure box.
