THQ appoints new Executive VP of Production
Former EA Canada VP and COO rejoins THQ.THQ has appointed Ron Moravek as Executive Vice President of Production.
Moravek, who co-founded and was COO of Relic Entertainment, joins THQ with over 14 years of experience in the games industry. He was a key member of the team that negotiated Relic’s sale to THQ in 2004, and served as its general manager until 2006. Recent years have seen Moravek as VP and COO of Electronic Arts Canada. He also co-founded and ran two more development studios.
“Ron is an exceptional development executive with unique perspective on the industry from both a creative and business point of view,” said THQ President Jason Rubin. “His entrepreneurial experience as well as his ability to drive dynamic teams is a great fit for our strategic objectives. Additionally, Ron’s experience building high-quality products will help us continue to deliver great games and build upon our foundation to innovate digitally in the future.”
Moravek will report directly to Rubin.
