The Farm 51 has released the first four screenshots of its upcoming action-adventure first-person shooter project, Project Adventurer

The game, set in the 1930s, takes players on a “globetrotting adventure,” moving from tropical jungles to frozen wastelands, each area filled “dangerous traps, extensive environmental puzzles and dangerous enemies,” including human soldiers and supernatural warriors. As an investigator, players are seeking an ancient artifact that may have awakened a threat very long ago.

The shots resemble one of the game’s main atagonists: The Guaridan to the Lost City, who was once a brutal, but just Mayan king. In exchange for his eternal servitude, he was granted “unimaginable power and immortality.” But his mortal body did not withstand his power, and he is now reborn and stronger than ever before, waiting at the entrace to the Lost City to battle any man that enters.

Looks interesting. So confused why anyone would ignore the PS3 user base at this point in the generation. I know it says there are “plans” for a ps3 version meaning its not yet a given.

Its a known fact that there are more working PS3′s in homes world wide than 360′s so by not making a PS3 version off the bat they immediately ignore more than 50% of their potential user base.

Whatever though. I guess some devs just dont like money.

It will come to PS3 just like the first Sniper: Ghost Warrior or Tales of Vesperia in the PS3 even though it will be late arriving, well better late than never i guess.

Oh devs Iike money, to me it’s more like they lack the money needed to do it all.

I think it’s because the lead platform is PC. Porting the game to 360 is one full work to do, and then porting it PS3 is another full work, because those two consoles have different structure so porting to one doesn’t mean making it much easier for the other. Not all devs have enough resource/money to do it both or do it both simultaneously.

But that’s just my assumption. I don’t know if the lead platform is really PC or not. The same with the studio actual financial capability.

From this new screenshot the visual graphic pretty good, hope the gameplay as well. Many thing from this game remind me of Uncharted tho.

This sounds quite promising. The screenshots also look good.
